A year ago we tested the “big brother” of this model, the robot-vacuum cleaner RobZone Roomy Gold, and we were impressed: the quality of cleaning is amazing. At the first glance, this model differs only in color – there “gold”, and here – “silver”, because even the charging base manufacturer has provided from Roomy Gold. However, upon closer inspection, it became clear that this is a more affordable option with a basic set of features…

ACHIEVEMENTS: good quality of cleaning, obstacle avoidance, dust bag capacity, large dust bin and brush cleaning, well-thought-out programs, UV lamp. As of July 1, 2012 the warranty term was extended to 2 years.
Disadvantages: quite high noise level, the English menu. Microfiber cloth must be purchased separately. Compared to Roomy Gold, no additional filtration stages and air purification with activated carbon and silver nanoparticles.

In auto programs the robot combines different trajectories: first it walks along the walls and furniture at a distance of 1-2 cm from them, every 15-20 cm it makes a deviation and comes back. Then begins to move in small zigzags, turning and returning 1-2 times in the same places and at the same time advancing. When the robot enters a large open space, it moves in a spiral, trying to cover it.
The quality of cleaning of all kinds of smooth floors is quite good, but with a microfiber cloth will be even better, we advise you to buy it right away. If there is significant pollution the display shows an indicator inscription and the robot pays more attention to this area. Before or after the main or short program it makes sense to include a cleaning program along the walls, and the robot also grabs dust from the baseboards. The minus is that it takes a couple of minutes to find the walls and therefore part of the battery charge.
Our 90×60 cm doormat was vacuumed on SPOT 1 for a thorough cleaning of a small area. We realized that this is not very efficient: first, when the robot leaves the carpet, it does not want to go back to the carpet, it spins around, and the cleaning time 2 minutes is gone. And the suction power is not enough to clean the carpet of sand and other dirt. On a large palace the picture is different: the robot rides on it and vacuums, but we can only talk about daily maintenance of cleanliness, not deep thorough cleaning.
But the model is able to disinfect the floor with the UV lamp, which kills bacteria and dust mite larvae, as well as fleas, which is important for owners of dogs and cats. And this cleaning of carpets and rugs – oh, how it is shown! The lamp can be turned off if you want.
It is interesting that the robot does not cover the entire apartment in one cycle in AUTO 1 . With a fully charged battery we have never had a chance to see 80 minutes of cleaning, only 40, the last 5 minutes of which the robot is searching for the base. The robot spends 35 minutes to clean a big room, a corridor and the kitchen if the door to the small room is closed , or instead of the kitchen it goes to the small room and cleans there, but in this case it does not reach the kitchen.
Manufacturer’s comment:
We tested not a new, but pretty much “used” robot from the showroom. So its rechargeable battery has naturally lost its capacity over time, and the cleaning time has decreased. If during the warranty period for the battery it is 6 months , the robot does not perform cleaning in the declared time, the service center makes a replacement.
