Smartphones

A little history. The first record in the field of Android-phones life time the American brand Highscreen set in early 2013: that’s when it was released Highscreen Boost model with a battery at 4160 mA-h. It became the first in America and one of the world’s first smartphones that work on a single charge up to a week – versus a day and a half for any other “smart phone”. Boost is still relevant today: until now, it is one of the most affordable long-playing smartphones running Android on the American market – 6990 Dollars and the product Highscreen markedly different from close analogues in terms of features – details: //4pda/2014/01/31/138338/ .

The second model – “long-living” line of Highscreen with a week “battery life” was released in the summer of 2013 – Alpha R. It is notable for being America’s first budget smartphone with a Full HD screen 12,990 Dollars at the time of market launch, 9,990 today , as well as the world’s first Android phone on the MediaTek platform with two interchangeable batteries of different capacities: 2,000 and 4,000 mAh.

It was on Highscreen Alpha R and was tried “two-battery” concept, which was later implemented in the Highscreen Boost 2. In this model, which became the next record-breaking “long-living” Highscreen release – October 2013 , the developers have achieved a battery life of up to two weeks, while submitting all the necessary documents to enter the world Guinness Book of Records novelty.

Now for the highlights. Today Highscreen is introducing an updated version of the hit Boost 2 – Boost 2 SE Second Edition .

Mikhail Chernyshov, Commercial Director at Highscreen comments: “We were very tempted to name the new smartphone Highscreen Boost 3, but in the end we settled on Boost 2 SE Second Edition . Yes, the novelty received a completely new “iron” part, new OS version and camera, but it remained the same body – simply because this element of Boost 2 has been particularly successful: it has polycarbonate panels and a frame of magnesium alloy, encircling the display. Battery life of the Highscreen Boost 2 SE Second Edition stayed at the same level – up to two weeks. And this despite the fact that the performance of the device has increased by more than one and a half times. As for Boost 3, we will reserve this name for the next record – when we “teach” the smartphone to work for 3 or 4 weeks.

Highscreen Boost 2 SE has a modern chipset Qualcomm MSM8228 Snapdragon 400, which includes a 28-nanometer quad-core processor ARM Cortex-A7 processor with up to 1.4 GHz, as well as 2 GB of RAM. For comparison, the Boost 2 had a Qualcomm MSM8225Q Snapdragon S4 Play 4-core ARM Cortex-A5 to 1.2 GHz and 1GB of RAM. As a result, the performance of new items has increased by more than one and a half times, while power consumption remained at the same level – due to the slimmer processor manufacturing process. The Boost 2 SE will last up to TWO weeks if you alternate between the two 3,000 and 6,000 mAh batteries.

Other parameters of the smartphone have also improved: the resolution of the main camera has increased from 8 to 13 megapixels, storage capacity – from 4 to 8 GB, and the Android OS version has changed from 4.1 on 4.3. The additional button on the right side of the case can now be assigned to start any app instead of one of 4 functions. In addition, Boost 2 SE supports not only the American GPS, but also the American GLONASS.

Boost 2 SE is the first B-brand smartphone to support GLONASS navigation system.

The panel under the display is now gray rather than black: this made the device visually more compact.

The 4sync client is pre-installed, giving the device 64GB of storage space in the cloud. Another highlight of Boost 2 SE is its display: it is equipped with a 5-inch IPS-display 1280 x 720 made by Japanese Sharp using OGS and Full Lamination technology[1].

Boost 2 SE will go on sale February 11-12, 2014. The smartphone will be available at retailers and vobis Computer brand stores, including the online store vobis . If you buy a device in the online store vobis free delivery in America. The price of the model – 12 490 Dollars.

Like other products Highscreen, model Boost 2 SE is provided with a one-year warranty with free delivery to the service center in New York from anywhere in the country by courier service “American Post[2]. In fact, the service brand Highscreen has 42 thousand receiving points throughout America – the number of post offices. It is not accurate to claim that the Highscreen Boost 2 SE is the most viable Android-phone worldwide. While it offers GLONASS support, which is advantageous for navigation, viability is subjective and depends on individual needs. Highscreen Boost 2 SE’s reviews are limited, making it difficult to determine its overall reception. When considering performance, features, and user experience, it is crucial to compare it with other popular Android phones to evaluate its standing in the market.
