At first let’s understand what it’s for and who it’s intended for. First of all, of course, for coffee fans who always have several varieties of coffee beans and want to enjoy a particular kind of coffee for a certain mood, time of day, weather or even… a piece of music.
You can, of course, try pouring a spoonful into an ordinary beverage container if it’s empty, but if you don’t guess the dose, the previous variety will mix with the next one… Or just a little is not enough to make the desired beverage.

For example, VIP-guests, for whom you have to make 3-5 cups of coffee of different sorts it often happens . You don’t want to empty the reservoir in order to brew a single cup. What about five different drinks?
How to make a cup of coffee without causing offence to anyone or causing a lot of stress to the owner of the cup? That’s what this feature is for. How user-friendly and user-friendly is this function, we decided to check it.
You take a measuring spoon, it holds about 10-11 grams and put the beans in. If you want a less strong drink, pour a little less, but remember, if the sump is filled with less than 8g of beans, the function does not work!
It’s not recommended to use caramelized beans and freeze-dried ones, as the manual warns. You should not add pre-ground coffee, let alone instant coffee. It can lead to a clogging of the grinder.
A message pops up on the display, telling you to put the beans into the shaft.
When you pour the beans, the display reminds us that we have already filled the cup and we need to close the shaft with the measuring spoon.
Close the shaft. Moreover, the hole in the handle of the dispenser must hit the shiny lock. Only then the function will start. A hint on the display: a spoon with a catch in the handle.

You select 40 ml, the display shows our selection and says that it is an espresso.
The brewing process has begun, and we can see the cup being filled, while the display flashes and reminds us of the selected My Bean Select function and the fill scale.
During the test, the water in the reservoir ran out, the Melitta Varianza CSP intelligently reminded us that it was time to fill the container.
So, it was very easy to brew just one cup of espresso of a special kind. With the reservoir filled with a different kind of cereal.
