The highest brightness, record contrast, support for 4K and HDR: cinema novelties from JVC were shown in New York

The company JVC Kenwood, together with GC DIGIS, presented new projectors for home theater from the Japanese manufacturer: DLA-X5000, DLA-X7000 and DLA-X9000. Recommended retail prices for the units have been announced.

The first change in the brightness of the JVC projector lineup that catches the eye is the. The new figures are as follows:

1.DLA-X5000 – 1700 ANSI lm – compared with the previous range increased brightness by +46%

2. DLA-X7000 – 1800 ANSI lm + 38%

3. DLA-X9000 – 1900 ANSI lm + 31%

The new models also include support for the latest HDR High Dynamic Range standard, a technology for images and video that exceeds the brightness range of standard technologies

In addition to increased brightness JVC also maintained a record level of natural and dynamic contrast, always inherent in the cinema projectors of this brand. Increased brightness is made possible by the installation of a more powerful lamp. In turn, the increased power of the light source required a more efficient cooling system. This task was also successfully resolved: the noise level of the projector is at 21 dB, which is unprecedented.

And, of course, there was a significant redesign of the 4K image formation mechanism – e-Shift, which is already the fourth incarnation of the famous JVC technology. Thanks to the successful combination of incoming 4K signal support + updated e-Shift4 algorithm, an ordinary viewer can’t tell the difference between the picture produced by the physical 4K matrix and the picture from the new generation of JVC projectors

Of the additional features of new products were noted:

• 6 color manager

• Auto calibration function

• Manual adjustment of gamma curve implemented in a special software JVC Calibration Software 6

• New adjustments for different screen types
