The HARMAN Kardon Go+Play II docking station stands out with its solid, good bass

This is the second reincarnation of the popular Go+Play portable dock. The form-factor is similar to a portable boombox, the presence of a battery compartment allows you to use the device in a similar capacity. The main problem of the previous version, namely, not the most reliable mounting of the player, is fully corrected here. In addition, a new dock with cavity adds to the external decor. It is still not convenient to carry it because of its heavy weight about 5 kg with batteries , but all this weight has only positive effect on the sound quality. The sturdy cabinet and powerful amplifier provide comparable and in many ways even superior performance of any musical genre.

The sound is tight, with good bass and excellent comfort. Resolution of high frequencies is a little bit lower, but for the material in mp3 format this is rather a big plus, because it hides the compression flaws.

No particular counterarguments to the purchase of the unit were found. If you like the look and money, you won’t regret choosing it.

The futuristic design will not suit all interiors, but it will even decorate the rooms in the Hi-Tech style. The solution with the semicircular metal handle is very successful, it serves for decoration and easy transportation at the same time.

When placed near a computer, a USB connector comes in handy, syncing files to your iPod will be quite handy. Thanks to its mini-jack audio input, the Go+Play can also replace a pair of active speakers. S-Video output when connected to a TV lets you view pictures and videos from your iPod or iPhone.

This is relevant due to the fact that the latest generations of pocket players have a built-in video camera, and phones originally had it. In a word, no other dock is needed anymore with this model, it has all necessary functions.

You can control it both directly from the body of the device and from the supplied remote. Thanks to a fairly large distance from the handle to the screen the discomfort seen in the previous version is not observed. The remote control is made in an interesting design, due to a small number of buttons external extravagances did not affect its ergonomics in any way.

The sound is distinguished by dense, good bass and excellent comfort. Resolution of high frequencies is thus slightly reduced, but for the material in mp3 format this is rather a big plus, because it hides the disadvantages of compression.

Lossless encoded formats sound even better. In general for a compact, and even with the possibility of battery-powered device characteristics are more than positive. No particular counter-arguments to buying the unit were revealed. If you like the look and money can afford it, then you will not regret choosing it.
