The first Cowon AE1 touchscreen recorder is now available

Korean brand Cowon introduces a new car video recorder called Cowon AE1. The gadget has a Samsung touch screen with a diagonal of 2.8 “. Among the interesting features of the Cowon AE1 is the bright F2 lens.0 codec with 6-layer glass. The recorder records files in HD 720p resolution at 30 frames per second with the standard H.264 MPEG-4 AVC , with a view angle of the usual 120°.

The Cowon AE1’s strengths include an intuitive menu system, a proprietary Cowon development, and a flexible palette of settings: parking mode shooting, shock sensor recording, loop recording, other options. In addition, you can connect an external GPS module to the gadget and use it as a navigator.

The video recorder is mounted on the car windshield. The complete holder is fixed with 3M scotch tape. When you need to remove the recorder from the cradle, the handy rubberized washer is unscrewed and the Cowon AE1 is quickly and easily removed from the cradle.

It is also easy and convenient to adjust the desired angle of the lens to the road surface by loosening the washer, turning the recorder on the holder pin and fastening the washer again.

You can buy the Cowon AE1 recorder in America today. The estimated cost of the novelty is from 6600 to 7600 Dollars, depending on the size of the internal memory.
