Electrolux, with nearly a century of experience developing professional kitchen appliances for Europeâs top chefs, introduces âThe Secret Ingredient,â a project that aims to expand the culinary capabilities and knowledge of ordinary users.
âElectrolux specialists are constantly working on creating new ways to cook more and more delicious food, improving the quality and culture of food, â says Olga Zubchinskaya, Marketing Director of Electrolux in America. â We are now launching a new project within the scope of our program, the aim of which is to transfer as many trade secrets, accumulated by the company for almost a century, as possible. We aim to learn and share our knowledge of the âsecret ingredientâ across Europe. On a monthly basis, we will work closely with chefs and consumers to share the technological nuances and recommendations for the use of modern kitchen appliances in the home.â.
âWe are launching our project together with a famous Electrolux partner, Tom Kitchin,â continues Olga Zubchinskaya. â Despite the fact that we cooperate with professional chefs, the project mainly introduces culinary techniques that can be successfully used at home. We want to show what great results can be achieved with a few very simple tips.
âNatural, seasonal produce and fresh ingredients are the basis for a great dish.â This is the philosophy of Tom Kitchin, a two-Michelin-starred chef from Scotland.
The project begins with a film shot in Scotland in which Tom Kitchin shares his insights on the cooking process in both professional and home.
Tomâs philosophy, which he lays out to viewers, is based on using only fresh ingredients and seasonal produce when cooking, and working only with trusted and reliable suppliers of agricultural and seafood.
The formation of these principles began back in Paris, where Tom studied cooking under the tutelage of master cooks, who helped him achieve his goal of learning how to make the most of all the ingredients in a dish. Tomâs story turned into a full-blown chefâs master class.
In the film, Tom shows how he uses a range of Electrolux kitchen accessories and appliances. He demonstrates cooking the same dish in a steam oven and with SousVide technology in a vacuum, explaining how to achieve great results to give the best flavor and texture to the dish, and what the differences are in the flavors of steamed and SousVide dishes.
