The changes aren’t meant to be revolutionary, but they’re a big upgrade. Compared to its predecessor, the VW550ES has received the following improvements:

– Support for today’s HDR standards for both cinema ST2084 and broadcast HLG

– HDR screen tweaks and custom adjustments

– Compatible with HDR content at 4K resolution at two scan rates: 24 and 60fps

– 17% higher dynamic contrast ratio – up to 350,000:1

– Both HDMI inputs are now HDCP 2 compliant.2
