British company 3 Legged Thing has released a new tripod called Patti, which expands the Punk series tripod range. Even though it’s considered a budget model, the tripod retains the quality and versatility of the more expensive series.
Tripod is made of magnesium alloy and allows you to work with cameras up to 10 kg total weight. The legs have four sections and can be fixed in three positions at 23º, 55º or 80º. The fixation of the sections in this model is made with ABS plastic latches, instead of the usual Twist-Lock. The tripod also has a central reversible column that allows you to shoot from a low angle at 11cm from the ground, with a maximum height with the fully extended column and leg sections of 1.63 m. Only 45cm long when collapsed for easy storage and transportation.
Specially designed compact rubber tips keep the tripod stable in most situations and can easily be replaced with other tips if needed, such as spikes or larger tips for snowy conditions.
Includes AirHead Mini ball head with two clamping screws for pan and tilt functionality. Other features include a patented Tri-Mount plate with eyelets to attach various accessories.
