ERGONOMICS AND SAFETY
The body is made of āsoftā rubberized plastic and brushed stainless steel, so itās not as heavy as similar-looking steel blenders. Plastic on the grip side so the handle doesnāt slip in your hand, steel on the āfrontā side so the blender has a stylish look.
The gearshift wheel on top of the handle is angled so that you can easily switch it with one thumb flick of the hand, the indication of the selected speed is very clear.
Safety first: recessed power and turbo buttons make it impossible to bump them accidentally.
The attachment of the main attachment is very simple: just twist it and itās done. No arrows or buttons, but it always snaps into place correctly the first time.
Noise level is average and Iām especially happy that there is no unpleasant vibration even in turbo mode. This shows the quality of the motor.
FUNCTIONAL
20 speeds + turbo ā itās not as much as it may seem, but the switching is very smooth and allows you to adjust the chopping and blending mode for all kinds of products.
Additional features not tested : chopping nuts, cheese, herbs, breadcrumbs, coffee and spices in the mini chopper, mixing and whipping products in a graduated glass of 0.8 liters. The modelās special feature is the Mayonnaise Success sauce attachment and the attachments for making different kinds of purees. No other model on the market yet. According to the manufacturer, Mayonnaise Success will make homemade mayonnaise and other sauces flawlessly in seconds.
QUALITY OF PERFORMANCE
Vegetables. We consider the result to be good. Small pieces of potato remain, but this is no problem for the device with 2 mashing nozzles: through them, the mass becomes homogeneous.
Milkshake with frozen strawberries. The blender required two tries to get a decent result: there were lots of big chunks the first time. But when we doubled the time, the blender did well, but not great: chunks got caught and the airiness was lacking.
Protein. Not everything came out right away with this test. When I held the whisk upright the whites didnāt rise, but when I tilted the beaker up about 30 degrees the whisk did: the foam became stiff and rose to the 36mm mark. Thatās the result.
NOTE FROM THE āCONSUMERā:
According to the manufacturer, the four-blade ActivFlow system allows for 20% more efficient compared to one of the previous Moulinex models chopping and stirring of ingredients. Honestly, after that announcement, we were expecting more in the chopping trials.
Obviously, the blender handles it, but not brilliantly. But the presence of original attachments is really its strong point, which has already attracted connoisseurs of haute cuisine.
Consistently good quality, easy gear shift and attachment of the accessories, safety, original equipment accessories, recipe book , French assembly.
Frozen berries for smoothies are best defrosted.
