Test results

DESIGN: The toaster is part of the Subito breakfast food products in the same style: shiny, even mirror like stainless steel combined with black plastic looks beautiful, but the reflective surface, unfortunately, shows your fingerprints, so the device will need to care for and maintain a nice appearance – wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. We liked the compactness of the device.

Control panel: it is located on the side and has a “slide” button, which lowers the toast and turns the appliance on, three function buttons – “stop”, “preheat” and “defrost” – and a mode selector. Indicator lamps on the “preheat” and “defrost” buttons, indicating the working conditions.

The main part of the toasting was done in Mode 4, the toast fried for 2 minutes and 19 seconds and obtained a good quality, fairly evenly cooked, only one side of the toast looked a little bit pale. We then experimented with modes five and six, and the results are also good, albeit always with a slight browning of one side of the toast.

DEFROST MODE: is activated by pressing the button once the bread basket with the frozen toast has been lowered down. The required cooking level must be set. We’re quite happy with the result – the toasts are evenly crispy, not too dry and very tasty!

HEATING: toast when cold, we recommend the second heating mode if you use a higher setting, the toast will become too dry.

BUNCH HEATING: there are models with this option. This is not the case with the appliance we were given to test.

TOUCHING FROM ONE SIDE: no mode.

DETAILS: the metal part of the body during the test was very hot – especially on the top and in the middle. The lower part is not too hot – at least not scalding – and the black plastic “sides” stay cool.

It is convenient to take out the toast, for this you can use the toast lifting system – the lever raises the toast about one and a half centimeters above the top panel, which allows you to get the toast without the risk of burning your fingers.

INSTRUCTIONS: the booklet is divided into two parts in different languages: the first includes “pictorial” instructions and the second shows the texts. The American-language text as well as all the others occupies one page and boils down to the enumeration of safety regulations. But it is in this instruction, our experts noted the most complete information on safety.
