cleaning

Sweeping the floor hard flooring

Surface type: parquet, linoleum and ceramic tiles. We are very satisfied with the speed and quality of cleaning. No need to “chase” dirt: it flies to the nozzle itself. We cleaned linoleum, tiles and parquet, for which, incidentally, included a special wide brush with a long pile. The wood has been treated with real care, but its simple shape loses out to the shape and ergonomics of the trademark DELTA. The ROWENTA know-how was appreciated by all participants: the triangular shape with 1 right angle and 2 sharp corners, and the stunning ! The maneuverability makes the head one of the best in the test.

Quality: 10 points.

Speed: 10 points.

Carpet cleaning

Type of covering, pile length: Rugs in the room, pile length 1 and 5 cm, mat in the bathroom, pile length 1 cm. We did it “scientifically” and used the Mini Turbo Brush. The hairs and cat hairs were successfully reeled in, but it felt that the suction was worse than for a simple cleaning, and certainly required a second pass without the turbo brush. We did an experiment: we did the primary cleaning without first “going through” the turbo brush. Then we disconnected the dustbin and made sure that it is not in vain when using cyclone-type vacuum cleaners to first collect hair and pet hair with the turbo brush: bundles of twisted hair and fur are stuck at the entrance to the dustbin. Then we did it scientifically and the results were very good: the carpets are cleaner, fresher and fluffier. Note that the mini-turbo brush is more for upholstered furniture. It makes sense to buy a bigger turbo brush separately.

Quality: 10 points.

Speed: 8 points.

Clean upholstered furniture

Type of covering: velour. There is a special nozzle for this purpose, with a reduced surface area to be treated and thus concentrating the flow of suction air. Do not clean furniture with it at maximum power: it sucks almost firmly, and you risk damaging the upholstery. Tip: choose low or medium power. But I prefer to use the Mini Turbo Brush for armchairs and sofas, it has a better effect and is more comfortable to use.

The main nozzle cleans hard-to-reach places comfort

Words are almost superfluous. Bravo, DELTA!

Quality: 10 points.

Speed: 10 points.

Crevice tool for hard-to-reach places convenient

The nozzle is perfectly normal, just long enough and flat enough to get into the cracks and clean the baseboards perfectly. At full power, it cleans like lightning.

Speed: 10 points.

Power Switching

The mechanical valve on the handle smoothly switches and regulates the power of the air flow. Depending on the surface you want to vacuum, you can choose from 3 levels: strong, medium, weak. Rare case of successful mechanical power switch: the valve is very “obedient”, it does not require any effort, and the airflow coming out of it is filtered when the power goes down. Too bad the switch is not electronic. A controller that tells you the right amount of power for a certain area is handier.

Convenience of the switch: 9 points.

The convenience of the tank

Everything happens very easily, but there is no device to hold the dust completely inside: a little dust spills out of the inlet opening of the container when you take it out.

Easy to empty and reinsert the dust bag: 9 points.

Ergonomics

On/off button: 8 points. Convenient shape and placement for easy foot activation. However the button of the cord auto winding looks and is located practically the same, and to look constantly at the purple symbols on a purple background is not possible. Almost all “testers” confused the buttons: instead of turning the device on, they unwound the cord and vice versa.

Main scoop: 9 points. Only complaint: The foot switch on the floor/scrubber system is a bit stiff. We do not recommend to press this button with bare feet.

Maneuverability of the model: 10 points. Trump card: on big wheels, baby keeps up with you as if you’re a mind reader. If you need to carry the vacuum cleaner up stairs or over a threshold, it’s easy: there is both a handle and a shoulder strap for carrying the cleaner on your shoulder, and the device itself is very light.

Easy nozzle change: 9 points. It’s easy to put on the tube and easy to take off. No clamps, but the nozzles do not come off during operation. The 2 nozzles upholstered furniture and crevice are attached to the handle with a special holder, which is convenient for storage, but it is not recommended to vacuum with them “on board”: they fall down when you move the vacuum cleaner.

Convenience of the tube: 10 points. Quick and easy length adjustment.

Easy to park and store: 9 points. The device fits in the closet, in the corner – no problem at all. One “but”: For maximum convenience it is necessary to take out the hose. And do it and put it in place is problematic: the mount is uncomfortable.

Easy filter change: 9 points. The foam filter can be easily removed and washed in plain water. It is recommended to do it once a month. The HEPA fine filter is easy to remove, but unfortunately it is not washable. From small dirt it can be cleaned with a special device, and in case of serious clogging it can be replaced
