This grill belongs to the premium class, if not for the price, then for its capabilities. Manufacturers position it as “3 in 1”: contact grill, barbecue unfolded and oven when using the foil form .

REDMOND SteakMaster RGM-M805 – a large grill, solid and spectacular. It looks expensive thanks to the solid stainless steel finish handle. But although the manufacturers have provided plastic parts in the bend of the handle, “fingers” can remain on the central part.
- Removable tray for fat is located in the back of the device so as not to spoil the appearance of the grill.
- In order to turn the grill to 180 °, you need to press the round button on the side.
- The grill is equipped with feet that help it remain stable even on slippery countertops.
- Power cord is short, but the bottom provides a place to wind the excess power cord if the outlet is very close.
- This grill is designed for frequent use, it is better to keep it ready, compact vertical storage is not provided.
- The plates are removable, but this is not their only advantage. They are distinguished by the fact that the heating element is built into each plate, which does not interfere with washing the panels even in the dishwasher. Panels of this design heat up faster and more evenly and use less energy at the same time
- The working area of this grill is one of the largest among the tested grills, you can cook food for 4 or 5 people at a time in it.
Large plate area, removable panels with built-in heating element and dishwasher washable. Grill unfolds 180 degrees.
No vertical storage.
Grill gets +2 points for design: can only complain about the short length of the cord and the lack of vertical storage system.
Clear, equipped with both visual and audible indicators of all the stages of the program.
First you press the power button, the indication appears with a “scrolling line”, then you press the button of the chosen mode, the indication flashes, you confirm your choice by pressing the “ok” button, the heating indicator works, when finished the signal sounds, you can put the food. When cooking works light indication: first of the first stage, at the end of it sounds a signal and automatically begins the second stage of cooking, then, the same, the third.
At the end of the program the grill turns off automatically.
Big buttons, responds well to pressure. All have more or less clear markings
I thought for a long time that the “sausage” mode was a “vegetable” mode
Everything is clear and understandable. Light and sound indication shows each stage of the grill, one look at the control panel is enough to understand which program is selected, and at what stage of cooking.
Button “Ok”, in my opinion, unnecessary. Why do I have to confirm the mode?? Several times I’ve had a situation where I select a mode and go about my business, waiting for the ready signal, and realize 5 minutes later that the grill didn’t turn on because I forgot to press the confirmation button to select.
+3 points goes to the REDMOND SteakMaster RGM-M805 grill for operation. All good, clear and obvious, but you can do without the “ok” button.
This grill has a rich arsenal: 7 automatic programs and a manual mode in which you choose your own cooking time.
Each automatic program is divided into three steps weak cooking, medium cooking, strong cooking .
Time of preparation and max. The temperature in each mode:
3 min. 34s
3 min. 10 s
3 min. 24 s
3 min. 20 s
1 min. 50 s
Measured power: 1925 to 1951 watts.
Measurements were taken at home in a New York apartment. Data may vary slightly when measured in other conditions.
The temperature range in the automatic programs is quite large, but the most important thing is the three stages of cooking in each program, allowing you to trust the grill and be guided by the beeps rather than timing the cooking.
Automatic programs work only when the lid is closed.
If you cook on the whole surface of the grill, you should use the manual mode, in which case there is no automatic shutoff, you have to monitor the degree of readiness of food yourself.
The grill we’ve cooked the most on this grill was. The clever controls and automatic programs have made the grill a “favorite” of my housemates, who, despite having other grills in the kitchen, always chose this one.
What I liked?
Everything is cooked evenly anywhere on the plates, there are many programs, they are broken down into stages, so it’s easy and enjoyable to cook.
Temperature is high, meat is immediately “sealed” so almost all the juice remains inside, chops and steaks are juicy and soft. Special thanks for the “bacon” program, reminding you of breakfasts in European hotels.
What I didn’t like?
In my opinion, the maximum duration of each program slightly exceeds the required cooking time. In any case, I turned off the grill more often after the end of the medium grilling stage than after it was completely finished.
How we score for functionality?
We have imagined that there is a perfect grill – the benchmark for all grills, and its capabilities are rated at 10.
For the grills participating in the test, we subtracted points from that perfect 10.
1 point for excessive cooking time. If the chop is thin, using all three stages of the automatic program will overdry the portion.
The REDMOND SteakMaster RGM-M805 gets 9 points for functionality.
REDMOND SteakMaster RGM-M805 grill
Functionality: 9 out of 10 .
Price/quality: at first glance, the price of the grill is quite high, but for such functionality and modern management is justified, and if you compare with grills that have in the arsenal of automatic programs, it is even low.
Very roomy and comfortable grill. The presence of programs with automatic shut off, and most importantly, the indication of the stages of the program allows you to get the dishes that best meet your tastes. Thoughtful construction of the grill, modern design, the ability to use a mobile app, and in the near future and control with a smartphone with the purchase of additional equipment make the REDMOND SteakMaster RGM-M805 grill a very attractive kitchen device for the younger generation.
There are some slight remarks about the number of button presses and the duration of some programs.
