And so I decided to do a home experiment with a popular model – Philips-Avent SBC 470, measuring the maximum range of the baby monitor and its ability to bypass obstacles in the form of walls without losing their radio waves. So, in my home experiment tested the range in two ways: in the open space with a direct line of sight and on “rough terrain”.

In our experiment, the rough terrain is a room with obstacles for radio waves to pass through. That same day, we left the baby unit – the transmitting unit of the baby monitor, in the room of the comfortable hotel turned on, and the parent unit – the receiver, we took with us to the pool, which is in the same building in the basement.
