ERGONOMICS AND SAFETY

Ergonomically shaped handle with rubberized anti-slip cushion is very comfortable. The speed can be adjusted before switching on the blender or with your hand while blending with the lever switch. The rubberized power button has an elongated shape, but it is possible to press it only in the very center and with a certain force: this protects the user from an accidental activation of the device.

The nozzles are put on with a click, there are matching arrows on the body and on the base of the nozzles. But the process of putting on/removing of the nozzle can not be called soft and smooth, a certain effort is required.

Noise level can be evaluated as medium.

FUNCTIONAL

Smooth speed change. 5 levels marked on the switch, but this is approximate and relative.

Additional features not tested : chopping nuts, cheese, herbs, breadcrumbs, coffee and spices in the mini-shredder, blending and whipping products in a graduated cup.

OPERATING QUALITY

Vegetables. The results of this blender, in terms of chopping, is not even interesting to describe. Perfect. Smooth. Air. Not a bite, it’s pureed in one piece and very soft!

Milkshake with frozen strawberries. Outstanding results the first time. As they would say in figure skating, 6.0!

Protein. Here’s a little nuance. The diameter of the whisk of this blender is larger than most models, our test beaker, where we whipped the protein, was too small for it: the whisk hurt its walls when working. The first time a squirrel rose to a height of 24 mm, the second time to a height of 26. If the beaker was tilted when whipping, the results would be better.

Tried whipping in a “native” cup – the results are not bad, but not brilliant, the foam lacks homogeneity. When you get 3-4 eggs instead of 1-2, things are more fun: a big whisk is probably designed for a larger amount of whites. But the fact is that in our “pure” experiment, where all the blenders have been put in equal conditions, the results of whipping the protein of this model are mediocre.

A REMARK FROM THE “CONSUMER”

The shape of the blade – cross-shaped, one blade is elongated and somehow unusually curved, and the second is located on a different plane and stands at an angle of 90⁰ in relation to the first. Apparently, this is the secret of the “brilliant victories” in whipping.

Panasonic

Excellent quality of chopping, safety, possibility of wall mounting, ergonomic handle, 5 speeds.

Product processing

Whisk is a bit big, it is difficult to whip properly 1 or 2 whites for example, for frosting usually no more with it, you need to select the bowl and the angle of inclination.

I personally had a positive experience with the PANASONIC MX-SS1 submersible blender. It is definitely worth the investment for its performance and durability. Compared to other blenders on the market, it stands out due to its submersible design, allowing seamless blending in various containers and dishes. The powerful motor ensures smooth and efficient blending results. The blender also offers variable speed settings, which is great for adjusting the consistency of different recipes. One potential drawback is that the blending arm can be a bit heavy, which might cause fatigue during prolonged use. However, overall, the PANASONIC MX-SS1 submersible blender is a reliable and versatile option that provides great value for the price.
