FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND EQUIPMENT

“Wow, what a box,” is what I thought first of all. After all, the blender is a “hand-held” device, small, and here the size of a microwave oven. When I started “unloading”, however, I realized that, in fact, the BBK KBH1011 is a real food processor, capable of solving a lot of culinary problems.

Includes: blender nozzle, whisk, mashing nozzle, S-blade, slicing/shredding disc, ice pick dicing nozzle and knife, pusher to remove the blade from the dicing nozzle, bowl shaft. Three plastic bowls are included – 0.6 L measuring cup with lid, 0.5 L chopper bowl, a large 2 L bowl.

The second thing I noticed was the weight of the motor unit the part that we hold in our hands . Really heavy. And this is not a drawback! After all, the large mass is indirect proof that inside is a powerful engine, and not some plastic.

Thirdly, it is very pleasant to hold the body in your hand. The cover material is soft, smooth, even a little silky, warm. No slipping of the hand. Well thought out shape. The curve of the body allows you to hold the blender firmly without unnecessary effort, which is very important, because it is heavy. I immediately assessed the length of the cord: 140 cm is the best option, and not much in the way and allows you to be with a blender is far enough from the outlet.

I also really liked that it comes with three bowls of different sizes. Each one has graduations, which is very handy for cutting different foods.

It’s simple enough. On top of the handle is a turntable with power markings. It is illuminated when you turn it on. Available in 5 power levels a total of 13 gradation options + turbo – when you press the button.

On the body itself there are two rubberized buttons. The top one is for turning on. You have to keep the button pressed for the blender to work. Take your finger off and the work stops.

The bottom one is turbo. When you press this button, the blender runs at maximum power.

The only inconvenience – sometimes I want the device to work independently, without a finger on the button. But none of the operations in the test did not require more than three minutes of operation of the device, and in seconds turned the product into cubes in general. So “keeping your finger on the remote” was not too difficult.

TESTING

Assemble a blender for cutting vegetables into cubes was simple enough: in the bowl of the combine in the grooves is easily inserted disc with a nozzle, a knife is put on top, you close everything with a lid, turning it so that it entered into the grooves, install the motor unit. All, the blender is ready to go.

I cut a standard set for summer olivier: cucumber, sausage, boiled carrots, eggs, potatoes.

Included is a very interesting attachment – a pusher to remove the blade from the nozzle.

In my opinion, it has two functions: the first is, of course, safety. The pusher makes it easy to remove the dicing nozzle, you don’t have to touch it at all. The second feature is very useful – the nozzle allows the last cubes to quickly move into the bowl, not remain in the slots.

In general, the nozzle works great. Olivier cooks almost instantly, which is great in our busy times. My niece, who was present when the salad was being made, said: “Wow, how great, I want such an attachment.”.

Comes with one disc, but it has a secret. Set it with the cutting knives upwards and you get slices, and if you put the disk upwards with the grater, you can shred the product finely, like on a mechanical grater.

In the instructions of the blender about this in detail is not written, so for me it was a surprise to see beet slices. But the simplicity of the solution and the ability to choose chopping slicing options pleased.

Carrots and beets are chopped quickly and well, literally in twenty seconds. The blender runs on medium speed.

I used to buy curd mass at the store and I was fine with it. But lately the taste of the finished product has changed a little, and I don’t want to eat some unknown thing.

I use the main attachment of the blender to mash up some plain cottage cheese in a few minutes.

The blender attachment allows you to thoroughly whip cottage cheese with milk and sugar into a smooth, airy mass. The power of the blender is enough to “break through” the cottage cheese and mix all the ingredients.

This attachment was also tested when making Caesar sauce. Of course, the main job is done by the whisk. But the blender is used to finely chop garlic and anchovies, which are then added to the whipped mixture.

And of course, you can turn soup into soup puree with this attachment right on the plate.

Ice crushing is one of the most challenging tasks for blenders. BBK KBH1011 copes with it quite easily. The only thing I would advise is not to put too much ice, it would be better to divide it into two portions. Otherwise, the part that gets chopped first will start to melt.

The lemon was crushed instantly, literally in a couple of seconds.

In the time I’ve had the blender on my dough, the whisk has been used especially often. I used it to whip cream, eggs for omelets and custards, make dough for pancakes.

It was fast and successful, no need to use high speed, it was enough to use level 2-3.

It’s very important to me that this blender comes with a puree maker attachment. Potatoes are a finicky product in this regard, using a conventional attachment instead of airy mashed potatoes turns out sticky mass. But the special attachment is amazing.

It is plastic, on a circular area with slots there is a turntable. I pre-mashed the potatoes with a shredder, added warm milk and butter and whipped the puree. I like the result. Just the way I like it: airy, soft, melting in the mouth.

Advantages

The richest package. On the market there are blenders with a nozzle for dicing and there are blenders with a nozzle for pureeing, but that all at once in one set – it is rare.

The blender is very powerful. For most operations, low or medium speed is quite enough. I’ve never had to turn it on overdrive. So, the motor doesn’t overheat or overdrive, which is an indication of its reliability and durability.

The blender is very pleasant to hold. Maybe it’s a trifle, but in daily use it is important that the thing pleased the owners, helped them. That way your food tastes better and you’ll be in a better mood.

Disadvantages

Perhaps the only thing – you need a big shelf to store all the accessories.
