Great that there is a separate cooking mode for stewing which allows to cook at relatively low temperatures. It can also be used for gentle heating, which prevents food from burning. No possibility to set temperature. Can’t say it’s a bad thing – it’s rare to use this feature, as it’s more familiar and understandable to change the power.

FEATURES
Boost mode is used to select the maximum cooking power with one touch at any moment of cooking.
As with all induction stoves, on the lower levels the power “jumps”, the stove works in on off mode. But there is a clear increase in values with increasing selected level of operation, which is not observed with all tested devices.
Level | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6-10 |
Measured, W | 370-446 | 416-645 | 766-1156 | 989-1270 | 1440 | ~1450-1470 |
As with all induction stoves: the middle of the cookware heats slightly more intensively than the edges. The crust on all the nuggets came out flat, no clearly more or less fried pieces.
Boiling mode has been set to maximum power.
1 l- 5 min. 6 sec. Measured maximum power of 1,468 watts.
Good enough results.
FUNCTIONAL
Stove with three suggested modes of operation – “Stew”, “Boiling”, “Fryer”. You need to select one to operate the device. It is possible to change the power level in “Boiling” and “Fryer”, but it is not possible to change the power level in “Squashing”, the second level is set automatically.
Changing the temperature in any mode is possible only by changing the power value.
Boost function can be used to quickly increase the power in any mode. In this case the heating increases to the maximum.
You can program the stove to turn off automatically using a timer.
CONTROL
A wide graphic display panel. It takes a little time to get used to it. On the right – the button to turn it on and select modes, on the left – additional functions and pause, in the center – the display that shows the operating time or shows the countdown when the timer is on and the power levels, and the sensors “-” and “+”.
All sensors are equipped with bright indicators that show which mode is activated.
Lock with display allows you to disable panel control if you step away from the stove. There is always an acoustic signal when switching off and every time the buttons are pressed. This is very handy during the day, but can be a problem at night. I wish there was an option to decrease the volume.
Convenient, understandable and obvious.
SAFETY
Every detail has been thought out. The stove turns off automatically after two hours of use. The manufacturer claims that the stove can be operated in the voltage range of 160 to 250 V. In case of exceeding these limits, the appliance switches off automatically and displays an error code.
When removing the cookware from the stove, an audible signal sounds, the indication works for a while. After one minute the stove switches off automatically – tested, that’s exactly what happens.
Advantages
Boost function is the only model in the test.
Pause function. Availability of a lock against unauthorized activation. Convenient and clear control panel. Wide temperature range.
Disadvantages
The upper limit of the permitted diameter of the bottom of the cookware is not very large.
The induction hob OURSSON IP1220T seems impressive, but I’m curious to know more. Can someone please share their experience of using this hob? How efficient is it in terms of energy consumption? Does it heat up quickly? Is the temperature control accurate? Any feedback would be highly appreciated!
