Tamron lenses won the prestigious 2018 TIPA Awards in two categories

Tamron, a leading manufacturer of optical products for a variety of applications, announces that the TIPA Association has announced that two Tamron lenses have been awarded TIPA 2018: the 70-210mm F/4 Di VC USD Model A034 in the Best Telezoom Lens for Digital SLR cameras category and the 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Model B028 in the category “Best Super Zoom Lens for Digital SLR Cameras.

The 70-210mm zoom lens has long been the choice of landscape and travel photographers as an all-in-one lens for a wide variety of genres and scenes. The Tamron 70-210mm Full Frame DSLR and APS-C camera lens combines a constant maximum aperture of F/4, an effective image stabilization system up to 4EV for handheld photography , and an optical design incorporating 20 elements in 14 groups with three specialized low-dispersive LD elements. The minimum focusing distance of 0.95 m and the nine-blade aperture give a very pleasing bokeh effect. Dual MPU Micro-Processing Unit , internal zoom the total length of the lens body does not change when zooming and Ultrasonic Silent Drive ensure stable control and high-speed accurate AF.

Providing an impressive 28-620mm focal range 35mm equivalent on APS-C size DSLR cameras these figures differ slightly for the Canon mount , the Tamron 18-400mm all-in-one water-resistant 22.2x zoom lens is 12.14cm long and weighs only 705g. The compact HLD High/Low torque-modulated Drive not only conserves battery power, but also enables the use of a miniature autofocus module that reduces the overall size of the lens. New case design with a three cam mechanism that distributes the complex movements of the inner lenses to achieve smooth zooming. The lens also features a built-in image stabilization system with 2.5EV efficiency and, to further enhance its capabilities, has a minimum focusing distance of 0.45 m.
