TAG Heuer introduces TAG Heuer Connected watch

New York, USA, November 9, 2015. – Today TAG Heuer, Intel and Google introduce the watch with advanced networking features. The novelty is designed by the Swiss exclusive watchmaker TAG Heuer, it uses Intel technology and has all the benefits of the Android Wear operating system.

TAG Heuer Connected, powered by Intel, was unveiled at a press conference at LVMH Tower led by Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of LVMH Group, Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel, and David Singleton, Vice President of Android product development at Google.

What TAG Heuer Connected is all about?

TAG Heuer Connected, powered by Intel, is an exclusive wristwatch with over 150 years of expertise from the Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer, headquartered in Paris, France. La Chaux-de-Fonds, the birthplace of Swiss watchmaking, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city is located at an altitude of 1000 m in the middle of alpine pastures and mountains.

Here watchmakers from the 18th century spent winters working in their workshops in summers they worked on farms , creating the original watches that formed the basis of the high reputation and quality for which Swiss watches are known around the world. It has a traditional chronograph style: the case, caseback and lugs are made of titanium Grade 2 , a modern material that offers lighter weight and greater resistance to external influences than steel or gold. Equipped with a black textured rubber strap six other colors – red, blue, white, orange, green and yellow – also available and sold separately and a buckle in titanium Grade 2 , this watch has an elegant appearance, modern technical features and unsurpassed quality of finish. New watch features..

For the first time, TAG Heuer has designed 3 digital dials that incorporate design elements of TAG Heuer’s world-renowned Carrera collection, including hands, pointers, counters, date and minute indicators.

At the time of its release, the new timepiece will include a chronograph dial, a 3-hand dial and a GMT dial. All dial options display the current date and are available in 3 colors black, navy blue and pearl white . The dials faithfully reproduce the look and feel of conventional dials, including the shadows of the hands and the brilliance of the dial in the sun. And because TAG Heuer Connected is first and foremost a watch, numerical hands and indicators are always visible, even when the watch is in power-saving mode.

More dials will be available in the future, and wearers will be able to check them using the TAG Heuer app, available for download on the Google Play Store.

TAG Heuer Connected isn’t just a real wristwatch, based on its look, including dials and minute hands. They also have “interactive counters”, thanks to their ingenious way of displaying apps.
