On the first day of the international project PHOTOFORUM, April 12, the results of the annual Product of the Year award were announced. For over a decade, the award has helped consumers navigate the fast-changing world of technological innovation, as well as playing a huge promotional role in the field of photo and video equipment. A total of 26 nominations were submitted for awarding.
RX0 camera won in category “INNOVATION
The Sony DSC-RX0 was named a truly innovative product by the judging panel of the Awards. Ultra-compact, shockproof and waterproof miniature camera weight only 110g, dimensions 59mm x 40.5mm x 29.8mm WxHxD allows you to approach the photo and video tasks in a new way with the same confidence in the high quality results. This model looks similar to action cameras, but its capabilities are much wider.
RX0 camera is waterproof to a depth of 10 meters, and when used with aqua box can be lowered to a depth of 100 meters. The shockproof housing protects when dropped from heights up to 2 meters and can withstand up to 200 kg of force 2,000 N, making it tough enough to shoot in difficult conditions. RX0 uses a multi-layer 15.3 megapixel Exmor RS™ CMOS sensor.0″ BIONZ X® image processor and ZEISS® Tessar T* 24mm F4 wide-angle fixed focal length lens to deliver high resolution and reduced distortion in both RAW and JPEG stills as well as all supported video formats.
This camera has an anti-distortion shutter with a shutter speed up to 1/32000 second and is capable of shooting video at up to 16 frames per second. You can also combine multiple RX0 cameras to capture a subject from multiple locations.
The α7R III is the winner of the “PROFESSIONAL COMPACT SYSTEM PHOTO CAMERA” award
Best professional compact system camera was named Sony ɑ7RIII. It combines the high resolution of its 42.4 megapixel CMOS Exmor R sensor with backlighting for impressive shooting speeds of up to 10 fps with AF-servo and AE/AF, along with outstanding image quality and 4K video, a wide 15-step dynamic range, high sensitivity with almost complete noise reduction, and much more. The 42.4-megapixel Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor uses a gap-free integrated lens design with anti-reflective coating on the surface of the sealed sensor glass to greatly enhance light transmission, resulting in high sensitivity with low noise and wide dynamic range.

FDR-AX700 camcorder – winner in the VIDEO category
This model features a rapid hybrid autofocus system, combining fast and reliable autofocus adapted for stills and video with a multilayer Exmor RS CMOS sensor at 1.0″ to deliver stunning picture clarity in a wide range of shooting situations, and also supports HDR recording.
Fast Hybrid AF system ensures high precision focusing and tracking during shooting, which is provided by 273 phase AF points covering approximately 84% of the frame, high AF point density and a redesigned AF algorithm. It reduces the time to focus, especially when precise focus is required when shooting 4K movies.
FE 85mm F1 lens.8 is the winner in the category “OBJECTIVE FOR FIX PHOTOS PROGRAMMING
