Sony has released a new firmware version for the full-frame mirrorless camera A9 ILCE-9 . The new firmware adds the Silent priority function with FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS SEL400F28GM lens, and improves the overall stability of the camera.
Benefits and improvements of the new update
Added [Silent priority] option for [RR. of diaphragm.] in the settings menu.
With the SEL400F28GM lens, if the [Silent priority] option is selected, the aperture motor sound will become quieter. It’s handy when shooting in conditions where it’s desirable to keep the sounds the camera makes to a minimum. Please note that if [Silent priority] is selected, the autofocus performance may be slower
