“The new camera is the logical continuation of the compact ZV-1, which has already been appreciated by many popular American vloggers and photographers. The ZV-E10 combines the versatility and excellent image quality of a camera with a large sensor and interchangeable optics, with various features for video content creation that are very easy to use. It’s the perfect tool for advanced video bloggers.

Variety of creative opportunities

The ZV-E10 features a 24-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor. They provide excellent image quality, high light sensitivity, excellent detail and beautiful natural bokeh effect. In addition, the new camera has the popular features of video bloggers from digital camera ZV-1. Such as Background Defocus, which enables you to switch smoothly between blurry and clear backgrounds, and Product Showcase Setting, which automatically switches from a person’s face to the highlighted subject

The ZV-E10 lets anyone express their creative vision by allowing you to select a specific lens from Sony’s extensive E-Lens range to suit your subject and scene.

Leading Sony autofocus technology allows video content creators to focus on framing. ZV-E10 camera supports fast hybrid autofocus and real-time eye autofocus for subject-tracking video. The camera is able to keep the subject’s face and eyes in focus, even when moving e.g., while walking and in difficult shooting conditions. The user can customize settings such as AF transition speed and AF shift sensitivity to choose how quickly and easily autofocus “shifts” from one subject to another and how much it “sticks” to the subject.

Touch AF control lets you select the AF area by touching the screen. One-touch zoom allows you to move the AF area from one subject to another, anywhere in the frame. This can be done in both still and movie mode.

Leading Sony technology based on internal directional three capsule microphone provides crystal clear sound when recording a speaker’s voice, and the included wind shield perfectly suppresses wind noise. The ZV-E10’s multi-interface connector with digital audio interface lets you connect additional audio devices to the camera. In addition, there is a separate jack for an external microphone. And a headphone jack lets you plug in headphones to precisely track your audio recording. Audio output sync can be set to “Direct transfer” no delay in sound output or “Video and sound sync” no discrepancy between video and sound .

When shooting in changing lighting conditions, the ZV-E10 automatically corrects exposure with the proprietary Face AE algorithm, which ensures that a person’s face will not be “sagged” in shadows or, conversely, over-exposed. Camera detects human faces and adjusts exposure so the face will appear at optimal brightness, even when taking selfies in constantly changing light levels, and even when the subject briefly turns away from the camera. The new camera also inherits advanced color reproduction technology from the popular ZV-1. They optimize the display of skin tones in both still and video modes.

Advanced video recording features and capabilities:

– Internal 4K video recording with full pixel readout without pixel aggregation

– High bit rate codec XAVC S 100Mbps in 4K and 50Mbps in Full HD

– High-speed Full HD shooting at 120 frames per second

Designed for video content creators

The ZV-E10 weighs only 343 grams. And a side-opening swivel LCD screen lets you place external microphones on top of the case. This makes it more convenient to take pictures, especially selfies, because the user can see the screen and take pictures from both below and above.

The ZV-E10 is very easy and comfortable to operate, thanks to the handy grip and the large record button on top of the camera. GP-VPT2BT wireless control knob sold separately makes one-handed shooting easy. This handle has zoom, record and a button you can assign a function to. There’s a warning light on the front of the body: if it’s on, you’re recording. Red frame appears on LCD screen during recording. It helps the user to know that recording is in progress when they are behind the camera.

The ZV-E10 is equipped with a unique zoom lever that lets you control the optical zoom of Power Zoom lenses, as well as Clear Image zoom when using both variable and fixed focal length lenses. Clear Image zoom allows you to zoom in without reducing video resolution and supports 4K recording. There are eight zoom speed settings available.

Electronic image stabilization in active mode ensures a clear picture even in motion such as when you’re walking and when shooting handheld.

The ZV-E10 has enough battery life to shoot for 125 minutes or 440 shots on a single charge. When shooting indoors, additional AC power supplies, such as the AC-PW20AM, can be used to record continuously without having to worry about battery power. Camera can also be powered via USB Type-C® connector. Allows the use of an external battery for longer “on-the-go” recording. When user closes the LCD tilting screen, power saving mode is activated. And when the screen opens, the camera automatically turns on.

Always connected

ZV-E10 can also be used as a high-quality webcam or live broadcast camera. For this, you need to connect it to a PC or smart phone. No additional software required. In live broadcasts or during video calls, the image quality and crystal clear sound are superb, and face-priority AE and skin softening functions are supported. The ZV-E10 supports standards used for USB cameras, such as UVC USB Video Class /UAC USB Audio Class . The camera can be connected to a power source with a USB cable to broadcast live for longer periods of time. For convenience, users can assign this function to a dedicated button so that they can instantly start broadcasting.

With the Sony’Imaging Edge Mobile app, users can transfer selected images and video files to a mobile device over Wi-Fi. RAW files can also be transferred. Once the Imaging Edge Mobile app is connected, file location data can be retrieved from the mobile device and recorded. Files can be transferred from the camera’s SD card to a smartphone mobile device via Bluetooth, even when the camera is switched offxx.
