Featuring new Sony SXRD™ LCDs with Cinema 4K 4096 x 2160 resolution, all three projectors offer high contrast and richness. This is complemented by impressive Reality Creation technology, which increases the resolution and visual detail of HD movies by pixel interpolation using a unique Sony algorithm.

The list of models on display is as follows:

– The VPL-VW760ES is a compact* premium 4K HDR projector with a laser light source and extremely high contrast *496 mm deep, 40% less than the previous laser light source model, VPL-VW5000ES

– The VPL-VW360ES is a versatile 4K HDR projector with electronically controlled iris for high dynamic contrast.

– The VPL-VW260ES is an economical 4K HDR projector with almost the same image quality as the older models.

To enable viewers to watch HDR high dynamic range video from any source, the new Sony projectors support different HDR formats – HDR10, standard for Ultra HD movies, as well as HLG, popular in digital broadcasting and on the web.

Hajime Nakamura, CIS Projection Equipment Business Unit Manager.“These models are designed based on a basic Sony principle: we need to bring true realism to the picture. All three projectors have lots of great features, and from the low-cost VPL-VW260ES to the high-end VPL-VW760ES, they all impress with their natural 4K HDR picture quality. So when watching a new action movie or sports game, viewers will feel completely immersed in the action.

The VPL-VW760ES projects amazing image quality from a 2,000 lumens high luminance laser light source. Backlight control technology for the highest dynamic contrast. The brightness of the source is continuously adjusted according to the nature of the picture, so that bright movie scenes appear brighter on the screen and the darkest scenes achieve deep blacks.

With Triluminos™ technology, the color space of the VPL-VW760ES is vastly expanded compared to conventional home projectors the palette of accurately reproduced colors and textures is increased. Motionflow™ technology analyzes dynamic movie scenes and increases the frame rate, smoothing out jerks and dramatically improving the smoothness of fast motion on the screen.

What’s more, the VPL-VW760ES is smaller than Sony’s previous laser light source model, which makes it easy to shelf or hang from the ceiling. Laser light source makes the projector easy to use, with no intermittent lamp changes required. The projector is reliable and durable, and even the consumables do not require replacement for 20,000 hours of operation the exact value depends on the operating conditions .

The versatile VPL-VW360ES lets viewers experience the beauty of 4K HDR at 1500 lumens. The VPL-VW360ES replaces the VPL-VW320ES and adds a number of new features to enhance the realism of movies. In particular, the electronic aperture control system Advanced Iris increases dynamic contrast to 200,000:1, and the memory of lens settings guarantees the correct image proportions for movies with different frame formats.

The VPL-VW260ES projector combines impressive 4K HDR quality with a reasonable price. Brightness is the same as the VPL-VW360ES – 1500 lumens. In many ways, this projector is the same as the older models in particular, it uses SXRD™ matrix Cinema 4K 4096 x 2160 , Reality Creation and Triluminos™ technologies, so viewers get amazingly clear, detailed images at an affordable price.

The VPL-VW260ES and VPL-VW360ES are available in two colors, black and white, allowing them to blend seamlessly into different interiors. The projector is easy to place anywhere in the home thanks to its compact size and a zoom lens 2.06x with a shift function that maintains the correct frame proportions when the projector is tilted in relation to the screen.

VPL-VW360ES and VPL-VW260ES projectors will arrive at the DIGIS Group warehouse in September. VPL-VW760ES will begin shipping in January 2018.
