Sigma has announced a new 14-24 mm F2 wide-angle lens.8 DG HSM Art for Canon EF, Nikon F FX and Sigma SA full frame cameras. MC-11 adapter can be mounted on Sony E-mount camcorders. In addition, the lens has an electromagnetic diaphragm function for Nikon cameras and a chromatic aberration correction function for Canon cameras.

The lens is specially designed to work with image sensors whose resolution is over 50MP. The lens design consists of 17 elements combined into 11 groups, including three low-dispersion elements of fluorite-like FLD glass and three low-dispersion elements of SLD glass. Low-dispersion elements eliminate chromatic aberration, ensuring high image quality across the entire field of the frame from center to edge and across the entire focal length range.
Added a large-diameter aspherical front lens, precision injection-molded to minimize distortion around the edges of the frame, especially important in architectural photography. Other lens features include a rounded 9-blade aperture, a maximum magnification of 0.18x, and an ultrasonic motor drive that provides fast, accurate and silent autofocus.

In addition to outstanding optical performance, the 14-24mm F2 lens.8 DG HSM Art has increased environmental protection, allowing it to be used in extreme shooting conditions. The lens body is made of magnesium alloy and is protected against moisture and dust by special seals located on the lens mount and adjustment rings. The front lens is treated with a special coating to prevent dirt, dust, oil and water droplets from sticking.

Meeting the trend of using wide-angle lenses in virtual reality VR content creation, Sigma introduces new Front Conversion service to replace the standard 14-24mm F2 lens hood.8 DG HSM Art to the original round, for maximum visual impact. Please ask an authorized Sigma service center to replace the lens hood, as this will not affect the warranty of the lens.
