35 mm is one of my favorite “landscape” focal lengths: there is plenty of space, but not so much as to emphasize flaws in composition and composition – 24 mm and wider are attractive, but demanding and need to be thoughtful and measured. Amateur photography often comes with a certain “relaxation” that’s me and it’s the “thirty-footers” at full frame that allow you to shoot in “point and click” mode.35mm lenses are available from most manufacturers, with Canon, Leica, Nikon, Samyang, Sony and Zeiss offering a 35/1.4 model. Sigma announced its “variation on the theme” at Photokine 2012 –
Sigma 35/1.4 DG HSM A1.

Sigma Corporation is changing and, in my opinion, for the better. I’ve never subscribed to the popular opinion that Sigma lenses are too compromising, but lately I just disagree: Sigma is the first independent lens manufacturer in terms of production and sales for a number of years – don’t all photographers who buy its products give a damn about the quality of its lenses? Quote: “I don’t believe it!”And the great models that have appeared in recent years, where to put? The same Sigma AF 50/1.4 or AF30/1.4?
Therefore, the Sigma 35/1.4 DG HSM A1 interested at once: not only as a possible alternative to not cheap native 35/1.4, but also as one of the first representatives of the company’s updated line of lenses – Sigma Corporation announced that all new models will belong to three lens series:
-
Art Series
-
Sports Series
-
Contemporary Series

Can anyone share their experience with the Sigma 35/1 lens? I’m curious to know about its performance in terms of sharpness, autofocus speed, and overall image quality. Would you recommend it for portrait or landscape photography? Thank you in advance!
Can someone provide more details on the performance and image quality of the Sigma 35/1 lens? I’m particularly interested in knowing how well it performs in low light conditions and if there are any notable features or drawbacks compared to other similar lenses in the market. Additionally, has anyone had the chance to test the lens in different shooting scenarios? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!
