AudioJason Stoddrath, co-founder of Schiit Audio “It’s time to break the vicious link between high quality and high price. This world is full of technology for the fabulous money, we wanted to create the same class of units, but so they can be bought by anyone.”

All devices are built according to the principles of uncompromising High End, using solutions and technologies normally found in much more expensive components.

At the same time, no compromises were made for the sake of price reduction. The preamps use the most serious circuitry, such as volume control using stepped relay switches rather than simple potentiometers, much less digital ICs.

The work stages work highly linear tubes6SN7, the termination is designed so that doubles its power when passing from 8-ohm to 4-ohm load. Exotic current feedback system is used, there are no capacitors in the signal path and the unit itself is built completely in “double mono” circuit, right down to the transformer windings. The power supply is fully linear, the amplifier works in Class A B. The Saga, Freya and Vidar, like all the other Schiit products, are made in the U.S

Mike Moffat, Developer “These amplifiers are the perfect partners for our multi-bit DACs. Take even the most inexpensiveModi Multibit, even the flagship Yggdrasil – you get an excellent system, and its price tag will not drive your audiophile brother to a heart attack.”
