Samyang has announced a new AF 24mm f/2 lens.8 FE for full frame mirrorless Sony cameras. The lens is lightweight and compact and has fast and accurate autofocus with a minimum focus distance of 0.24 m. Optical design consists of 7 elements in 7 groups, including 3 aspherical and 2 refractive glass elements. All elements are made of high quality optical glass and coated with Ultra Multi Coating, which improves light transmission by effectively suppressing glare. The lens has a 7-bladed aperture and is adjustable from f/2.8 to f/22.
The lens weighs only 93 g and is 37 mm long without taking into account the hood and lens protectors. Angle of view is 82.1o For full-frame sensors and 60o for APS-C. The lens also supports attachment of 49 mm filters and has a magnification ratio of 0.13h.
