“Samsung every year produces more and more intelligent, “smart” home appliances. We listen carefully to consumers and try to improve popular models so they meet all of today’s homemaker needs,” said Kevin Dexter, senior vice president of sales and marketing, home appliances division, Samsung Electronics of America.

In 2012, Samsung Electronics presents a new, very popular application for refrigerators with LCD display – “Shopping List” Grocery Manager , for side-by-side models RSG309 and French Door RF4289 . Both fridges are equipped with 8-inch color touch screen display and Wi-Fi module.

The Grocery Manager app will allow consumers to create their own shopping lists at the touch of a button. At the same time, the Facebook app will provide instant access to a user’s news feed.

The new refrigerators incorporate advanced solutions for more convenient and systematic food storage. The height-adjustable FlexZone™ can be easily accessed by children and has four preset temperature settings: “Meat & Fish” -2° C , “Refreshments” 0° C , “Salads/Snacks” 2° C and “Wine/Banquets” 6° C .

Refrigerators also help to keep food fresher for longer thanks to Twin Cooling Plus® technology, which uses separate cooling systems for the refrigerator and freezer compartments, regulating temperature and humidity parameters.

The new Samsung SMH2117S OTR Over The Range microwave oven, combines the functions of a convection oven, microwave, toaster and hood. This model has been awarded the “CES 2012 Innovations Award” in the Eco Design category.

Microwave oven with 60 liter capacity is equipped with LED backlighting, which provides excellent lighting and is able to work in Eco-Mode, consuming less power.

In addition, the inner walls of the new microwave oven are coated with bioceramic enamel, which is hygienic and easy to clean. Only Samsung uses in its microwave ovens the kind of high-quality enamel typically found in kitchen stoves and ovens.

In 2012, Samsung will make the Flex Duo series convenient ovens even more affordable with the budget model NE595R1. Many families will have the opportunity to cook using the full capacity of the oven 167 l or top/bottom compartment 74 l and 88 l, respectively , by installing a special divider between them.

In this oven, you can cook two dishes at the same time with different temperature settings, and the separator will avoid mixing of flavors. If you want to cook one large dish, the divider can be removed.

The security of a Samsung smart fridge’s Wi-Fi connection is essential and typically includes encryption protocols like WPA2. However, no system is completely immune to potential vulnerabilities. While it’s unlikely for unauthorized individuals to easily access the network, it’s not impossible. If someone gains access, they could potentially manipulate food orders or extract personal information. To minimize these risks, it’s crucial to follow security best practices such as regularly updating firmware, using strong passwords, and monitoring network activity.
