Berlin, September 6, 2013. â Samsung Electronics Company has presented at the IFA 2013 exhibition the first UHD TVs with curved display, Samsung Curved UHD TV, thereby confirming its leading position in the segment of models with ultra-high resolution Ultra HD. New 55-inch and 65-inch models combine stunning detail of Ultra HD pictures with an innovative curved shape, allowing viewers to appreciate the most realistic panoramic images of the highest quality.
âThe curved display TVs unveiled at IFA 2013 are ushering in a new era of innovation,â said Hyun-suk Kim, head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. â A completely new segment on the TV market, paving the way for the next generation of devices.
Production of UHD televisions with curved display is much more complicated than the same shape OLED models. Therefore, the release of the worldâs first UHD TV with a curved display has once again proved that Samsungâs latest technology allows the company to be ahead of most competitors in the industry.
As the UHD market is in its infancy, the company will carefully analyze consumer feedback following the release of the Samsung Curved UHD TV to better meet consumer demands in the future.
The new products have expanded Samsungâs UHD TV series, which currently includes models with diagonals of 110, 98, 85, 65 and 55 inches.
The company previously announced Samsung Curved OLED TVs, which were first unveiled at CES 2013 earlier this year, will go on sale worldwide, including in South Korea and the U.S.
These new Samsung UHD TVs with a curved display sound intriguing, but Iâm curious to know how this curved design enhances the viewing experience. Is there any scientific justification or research behind this innovation, or is it purely a marketing gimmick? Would watching content on a curved UHD TV feel more immersive and realistic compared to a flat screen? I wonder if anyone has had firsthand experience with these TVs and can provide insights into their performance and user satisfaction.
This is fascinating news! While curved displays have been popular for smartphones, itâs intriguing to see Samsung bringing it to UHD TVs. I wonder what advantages a curved display offers in terms of viewing experience and if it will become the new trend in home entertainment. Can anyone share their thoughts or experiences with curved UHD TVs?
