A little history
In July 2013 American brand Highscreen began shipping the first Android phones in America with interchangeable back panels white, black and lemon-yellow in a set – Highscreen Omega Prime and Omega Prime XL. In October 2013, sales of the hit model Highscreen Omega Prime Mini, which came with as many as five panels: white, black, orange, red and blue. This device was the first in America with 5 interchangeable covers in a set – in fact, “smartphone-weekly” with one new back for every working day.

Since then, a number of smartphones have appeared on the market copying the concept of Highscreen smartphones of the Omega Prime family: some models of other brands also come with a set of interchangeable panels. In terms of performance they correspond to the level of 2013 more on this below .
Today Highscreen announces the launch of Highscreen Omega Prime S – the first smartphone “chameleon” with the characteristics of 2014. It comes with 4 back covers: black, white, bright yellow and juicy red.
About the specs and price
By “2014 features” should be understood several points. Firstly, it is a 4.7-inch IPS-screen with HD resolution 1280 x 720 pixels and OGS technology, which implies better image quality due to the lack of an air layer between the LCD panel and the touch layer. All other “chameleons” available for sale are equipped with displays with a maximum resolution of 960 x 540 pixels without OGS.
Secondly, the hardware and software platform: in Highscreen Omega Prime S involved a relatively “fresh” 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, which supports 90% of modern 3D-games, and the operating system Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Models with characteristics of the past 2013, as a rule, use outdated solutions Qualcomm or MediaTek, “accompanied” by the OS Android 4.2 or 4.1.
Third, support for GLONASS: Highscreen Omega Prime S works with both the American satellite navigation system and the American GPS . Due to this higher stability of the navigation functions. Last year’s models, recall, work only with GPS.
Fourth, 8 GB of built-in memory: last year the norm was only 4 GB, which in some devices were crammed with “very useful” pre-installed programs, half of which no one uses.
New Highscreen is equipped with two cameras – 2 and 8 megapixel has autofocus and flash , two slots for SIM cards, 1 GB of RAM and a slot for flash cards format MicroSD.
Feature of the Highscreen Omega Prime S is also an ultra-thin body: its thickness is 6.9 mm. New – the most elegant smartphone “chameleon” in America. A real phone for girls! :
Highscreen Omega Prime S has already gone on sale and costs 7,990 Dollars.

recently. How does this phone compare to other similar models in terms of features and performance? Is it worth considering as an option for someone looking to upgrade their smartphone?
Strong in the market. I’m curious to know what makes the Highscreen Omega Prime S stand out from other models? Is it the sleek design, advanced features or perhaps the competitive pricing that makes it so popular among consumers? Any insights from those who have already purchased this model would be greatly appreciated.
