RIDGID’s matrix-less crimping tool saves electricians a lot of unnecessary tools

The RIDGID RE electro-hydraulic tool with its exclusive QuickChange™ system for quick bit changes dramatically speeds up and eases the most labor-intensive routine operations: cutting and crimping cables and punching holes. The new matrix-less 4P-6 QuickChange™ compatible crimping tool is capable of crimping standard copper lugs and splices on cables up to 400 mm² without the use of dies. The tool’s 60 kN of hydraulic force produces the same quality and speed of crimping regardless of the installer’s physical strength or fatigue.

“The innovative RIDGID RE 60 electrohydraulic tool is designed to increase the productivity and efficiency of electrical installers. All routine cable installation work in one ergonomic 3-in-1 device that fits into a compact carrying case with all the accessories you need cutter and rotary hammer ,

– Andrei Makarov, head of RIDGID America, notes. –

Introduction of the matrix-less crimping nozzle 4P-6 is a logical development of this concept. The electrical fitter no longer has to waste time selecting and installing the matching matrix for the different tip diameters. And when working in the field, the novelty saves electricians from having to carry extra tools and accessories.”.

Slim and ergonomic nozzle design with spring-loaded clip allows the tool to work in hard-toreach places and the 360° swivel head further increases its maneuverability. Additionally, the matrix-less crimping system saves the cost of purchasing replaceable and consumable crimping dies.
