Razer introduces the first ultra-short-stroke mechanical keyboard switches

Razer

, World leader in peripherals and software for gamers presents ultra-short-stroke mechanical keyboard switches. And the debut of these switches will be Razer’s keyboard case for the Apple® iPad Pro.

New Razer switches appear in Apple iPad Pro keyboard case for the first time

Every Razer ultra-low mechanical switch has a trigger and reset point. They require 70 grams of force, mimicking a full-fledged mechanical keyboard in a slim form factor that’s perfect for a mobile device.

Earlier this year, Razer invested heavily in its own exclusive line of switches to take keyboard performance and durability to the next level. Razer’s investment in switch development and design has resulted in a new, unusually slim design with ultra-short-range mechanical switches. It also helped Razer’s conventional mechanical switches set a new standard for industry-leading durability, which implies a keyboard lifespan of 80 million keystrokes.

“Usually we’ve thought of it as a company that makes phenomenal products for gamers. But to create truly exemplary products, you have to start a project from scratch – even with components such as mechanical switches.”

, – Says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO

We’re excited about the capabilities of the new ultra-short-stroke switches and are already exploring new options in addition to the mechanical keyboard we designed for the iPad Pro.
