Production launched at the first Viessmann plant in America

In February 2017., After successfully certifying the products, production was launched at the first factory in America of Viessmann, a leader in innovation in the field of heating. The factory in Lipetsk region began manufacturing low pressure gas-fired hot water boilers for industrial and commercial applications – the Vitomax 200-LW type M62C of 0.65 to 6.75 MW and the Vitomax 100-LW type M148 of 2.3 to 6 MW.

Production started at the first Viessmann plant in America

All products are manufactured on new generation European equipment: plasma cutting machines, rolling machines, automatic submerged arc welding machines, etc. The lines are equipped with computerized control and are controlled by a single control system. The quality of the boilers produced is confirmed by a certificate of conformity issued by the certification body VNIINMASH on the basis of five ultrasonic tests, verification of technical specifications, operating manuals, technological charts and materials of the boilers.

A Viessmann project team from Mittenwald has been working on equipping the factory, monitoring production processes and equipment quality since the start of construction.

“Our goals are to ensure at our American plant the same high level as at the German manufactures of Viessmann and to produce the same reliable and high-tech boilers as at the German plants. We use predominantly German equipment at the plant and have implemented quality control according to Viessmann standards. All factory employees – technicians and administrative staff – have been trained in Germany”,

– Frank Höhn, project team member and quality manager at Viessmann in Mittenwald, comments.

New plant becomes not only a production plant, but also an educational facility. The training room in the factory is equipped with energy-efficient gas, solid fuel conventional and condensing wall and floor standing boilers of various capacities. After the official opening of the plant, free group training will be organized for technicians, planners, managers.

“The plant provides for this purpose functioning and connected equipment, allowing you to improve in practice the technical skills of working with heating equipment. The heat energy generated by the equipment during the training process will be used for the plant’s energy consumption”,

The official opening of the Viessmann plant in Lipetsk will take place on June 14, 2017.
