There are a lot of systems on sale. This is not surprising: the world has become mobile, and following smartphones, tablets and players, so have their peripherals. And let’s not forget about the summer which is coming – the season of long-distance and not-so-distant trips attracts a lot of attention: we all need music and entertainment on vacation.

Design

Externally Defender BT Audio-S6 is unusual. The speaker system resembles a pipe, and at first it’s hard to believe that it can hold a tablet, even a solid-sized and heavy one, without flipping over.

The tube is distinguished by its style – the strict black housing with silver inserts at the ends, the central part is made of polished metal – it’s nice to keep this gadget at home on the table and in a country gazebo.

Design Features

We must assume that first of all the developers of the company Defender addressed their gadget to fans of watching movies from the screen of a tablet or smartphone. In the center of the BT Audio-S6 body there is a holder for your mobile device. It even has a rubber cover – so as not to damage the surface of your mobile device.

If a gadget does not fit into the sufficiently narrow slot, you can remove the nozzle. Included is a small additional support that is inserted into the speaker housing at the back and forms an additional “leg”. However, even without it, the BT Audio-S6 holds a full-sized iPad with confidence.

BT Audio-S6 connects to an audio source via Bluetooth. On the front of the speaker is a corresponding LED, which signals a successful pairing with your smartphone or tablet.

The speaker can work with devices that do not have a wireless module – for this purpose it uses an audio input, and in the delivery kit has a cable that can connect the speaker to the headphone jack on your mobile device. This versatility allows the BT Audio-S6 to be used with virtually any modern device capable of playing audio: smartphones, tablets, laptops, game consoles, or even portable mp3 players.

Sound quality

Typically, portable audio devices don’t boast exquisite sound, because their size doesn’t allow them to be fitted with high-quality speakers. Defender BT Audio-S6 turned out to be a pleasant exception to the rule. The sound a total of 6 watts is not only very loud, but also clear – no rattling or squeaking, so often common for portable speakers, there is no, even at maximum volume.

Of course, audiophiles with demands this speaker will not have to taste – pure modulation or polytonal overlays hear here is unlikely to succeed. But with its main function – to entertain its owner or his company BT Audio-S6 will cope confidently.

Autonomy

The only drawback of the BT Audio-S6 is its short battery life. Battery is big enough for such devices – 800 mAh, but the powerful speakers “eat” it up for 3-4 hours of work at full volume. The speaker probably won’t be enough for a whole day out of town and needs to be recharged. There are rechargeable batteries for this purpose. If you want you can charge the speaker from the cigarette lighter socket – if you have the appropriate accessories. Full battery charging time is about 2 hours.

Summary

Defender BT Audio-S6 can be recommended to those who like to watch video from the screen of mobile devices. With them the speaker forms an excellent bundle, a kind of mini-cinema. The acoustic system is suitable for use with the player, if you want to listen “loud” music, but not the headphones. And for long trips it is better to take with you, for example, a power-bank or to use a cigarette lighter charger.
