PocketBook Color Lux is available in American stores

PocketBook, one of the market leaders in E-Ink readers, and the manufacturer of multimedia readers and tablets based on Android, announces the beginning of sales of the world’s first reader with a color E Ink display and backlight – PocketBook Color Lux. New 8-inch touch screen reproduces 4096 colors, and therefore suitable for reading not only e-books, but also magazines, specialized publications with illustrations, diagrams and charts.

Benefits of e-ink technology are familiar to all fans of reading from mobile devices: unlike the TFT-displays of tablets and smartphones, E Ink screen does not flicker, and therefore does not create additional strain on eyesight. But regular readers play back a monochrome image, which makes them less versatile. PocketBook Color Lux opens a new stage in electronic reading: E Ink color display is the perfect solution for reading children books with illustrations, magazines and of course e-books of any format.

Comfortable reading with PocketBook Color Lux does not depend on the type of light: even in bright sunlight the device screen doesn’t fade or glare, text and images remain clear and fully readable. The built-in backlight evenly illuminates the screen, so you can enjoy your favorite books in the dark.

The multitouch screen makes it easy to control the device, and a powerful processor and 256MB of RAM let you flip through your pages without delay. One charge of the built-in battery capacity of 3000 mA-h enough for a couple of weeks of active reading *.

The e-book is equipped with a set of preinstalled applications, such as PocketBook Sync, ReadRate, Book Store App, and PocketBook News service to keep users informed about the latest news. In addition, PocketBook Color Lux has integration with social networks: users can choose the best books in their opinion, share their favorite quotes and like the books they like. The novelty easily reads more than 15 e-book formats, as well as plays audio files and lets you create handwritten notes.
