MirrorLink

, complementing pre-existing compatibility

AppRadio as with iOS iPhone 4/4S/5

, and with some Android smartphones Among other major innovations, the new model upgraded the GUI and introduced support for audio streaming via Bluetooth.

“As the popularity of smartphones and the apps on them grows, the demand for solutions for the safe and intuitive use of smartphones in the car increases. Nowadays, consumers can choose from a variety of smartphones and operating systems,” said Geert Verhoeven, product planning manager for Pioneer Europe. – The new Pioneer AppRadio model embraces these trends by offering advanced compatibility with most popular mobile devices, providing the ability to connect and control your smartphone via the head unit’s touchscreen, using navigation, data, weather, music and other apps. The new Pioneer AppRadio receivers bring a new level of comfort to the car, enabling phone and internet connectivity in any car.

With the free Pioneer AppRadio app available for both iOS and Android and compatible third-party apps, the SPH-DA110 takes control of supported app functions with the same taps as on the phone itself, only on the 7″ capacitive touchscreen of the head unit. Additional convenience and control features are already built into the two new models:

MirrorLink – A standard for in-car connectivity developed by the Car Connectivity Consortium CCC . MirrorLink technology allows consumers to connect compatible smartphones to the new AppRadio receivers or other compatible embedded models using a USB cable. This provides access to the music library and navigation applications and increases the safety of use of the device in the car. Just like AppRadio Mode, MirrorLink provides a special interface and connectivity for MirrorLink certified devices, such as Samsung, Nokia and other smartphones.

Siri Eyes Free

– Users of iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 can activate Siri Eyes Free by holding down the Home button on the AppRadio receiver. When activated, the Siri voice asks what commands to execute, addressing the driver through the car’s speakers, and the user’s commands are recognized through the external microphone included with the SPH-DA110. Siri Eyes Free gives you access to many iPhone functions, including music selection. Listening and text messaging, maps, calendar, reminders and more.

Voice recognition for Android

– Users of compatible Android smartphones can use Google Voice to “speakerphone” mode, this feature is also triggered by a long press on the “Home” button on the receiver AppRadio. In addition, the free Pioneer CarMediaPlayer app version 1.2.0 and AppRadio version 2 .0.0 already support Google Voice for contact selection and music access.

Bluetooth

– To maximize connectivity by embracing today’s most popular smartphones, the SPH-DA110 supports both Bluetooth calls2, as well as Bluetooth audio streaming, including wireless control of compatible devices. Each model includes support for Advanced Audio Distribution Profile A2DP for wireless audio and Audio Video Remote Control Profile AVRCP version 1.3 for wireless control of devices and correct display of related metadata if available on the Pioneer touchscreen display.

Improved touch screen user interface

– Designed especially for smartphone users, the new AppRadio touchscreen interface gives convenient access to most popular features – apps, music playback, and calling.

Pioneer SPH-DA110 features the same exterior features

, that the touchscreen smartphone body – it features an absolute minimum of physical buttons, just like on previous models. Most of the features and controls are activated through a 7-inch capacitive touch screen with WVGA resolution 800 x 480 . The touchpad is used to access all features of the unit, including app interfaces, play and control music, turn on AM/FM radio, and Bluetooth features. Two cable connection options, sold separately from the device, allow you to use the receiver with 30 different smartphone models available in Europe and America.

The new model already features a built-in AM/FM tuner

with RDS text support if supported by the radio station , as well as a MOSFET amplifier with 50 W X 4 speakers and dual line outputs for an external amplifier.
