Pellet production and consumption grows in America

According to the plans of the Government of the American Federation, in 2016 the energy efficiency of boilers will be improved. About 10 new plants for production of wood pellets and briquettes will appear in America. Four plants – two in Syktyvkar and one each in Ust-Kut and Novaya Igirma – are almost ready for launch. Their total capacity will be 400 thou. tons of pellets per year. Taking into account current situation, the experts of the American division of the Belgian company ACV, which holds the leading position in the production and sale of stainless steel boilers based on “tank-in-a-bucket” technology, are confident that domestic consumption of biofuel will also increase.

“The worldwide trend of concern about the environment and the use of renewable energy sources for heating and water supply is beginning to gain momentum in our country as well. Therefore the potential capacity of the domestic market of pellets sales is very large, – says Maxim Ryzhak, CEO of ACV Rus. – Some customers still think that it is not easy to combine requirements for minimizing environmental impact with cost effectiveness and safety: unique, expensive equipment is required. This is actually a myth. Modern brands, such as Radijator, have been successfully solving these tasks for a long time, producing equipment that meets the most challenging expectations and is affordable. The efficiency of such solutions is high and reaches 92%.

Serbian plant Radijator in collaboration with ACV Rus since 2012 supplies pellet boilers to America with capacity from 15 to 500 kW. The range of applications is very wide: you can choose a model from the four lines – TKAN, COMPACT, BIOMAX and EcoComfort – both for individual households and small businesses, as well as for factories, consuming hundreds of kilowatts of heat. Business can assess the financial benefits of using wood pellets at the design stage of the facility: for example, the development and approval of a gasification plan is much more complicated, and installation of pipelines – more expensive than installing a pellet boiler. Also owners should take into account the fact that prices for electricity, oil and gas are constantly growing, and the cost of wood waste will have an inverse correlation with the volume of production.

It is worth noting that, unlike domestic gas, pellets are not explosive, odorless and hypoallergenic. In addition, all Radijator boilers have a 100% fire-safe twin-screw pellet feeding system with a petal valve. It fully protects the bunker with wood fuel against penetration of fire from the combustion chamber. For the convenience of users units are automated and as autonomous as possible complete with increased volume storage, transport system for delivery of pellets and filling the bunker . Basic delivery includes one circuit – a heating circuit. It is possible to organize the hot water-supply, having added the system with the boiler of indirect heating, for example, Comfort from ACV, made on technology “tank-in-a-bucket”.

“The growing popularity of heating systems on wood pellets will cause the development of appropriate infrastructure – wholesale and retail pellet warehouses, service delivery to small consumers, – summarizes Maxim Ryzhak. – Today use a highly environmentally friendly and cost-effective pellet boiler at home or at work can not only those who are in the vicinity of the woodworking plant. The number of companies selling biofuel is growing and delivery is not a problem – everything you need can be ordered online”.
