Panasonic has released a firmware update for the GH5, GH5S and G9 mirrorless cameras. New firmware features improve overall camera stability, autofocus and sound quality for movies, new effects for Photo Style mode and more.
Flash version 2.3 for the Panasonic GH5. The main changes and improvements are:
1. Tracking autofocus during video recording is improved
2. Stabilization system function was improved: there were some cases of peripheral distortions while filming with Panasonic wide angle lenses H-F007014, H-E08018 . This bug was fixed.
3. Sound quality has been improved: The sound quality has been improved by optimizing the noise reduction of the internal microphone.
4. L effects.Monochrome D and Grain Effect have been added to Photo Style mode.
5. Added Live View Boost mode which makes it easier to check the composition on the monitor in low-light conditions.
6. Added Night Mode, which decreases screen brightness when recording in low light conditions.
7. A maximum magnification of 20x is available in MF Assist mode
8. Like 709, V-LogL and V-LogL View Assist in Photo Style mode can be used when shooting
9. LUT Monitor Display and LUT HDMI Display can be used in playback mode.
10. [Focus Lock Button], [E-Stabilization Video ], [Mic Rec Level Disp.], [Live View Boost], [Night Mode] and [L.Monochrome D] can be assigned to the Fn button, which works in recording mode.
11. [LUT Monitor Display ], [LUT HDMI Display ] and [Night Mode] can be assigned to the Fn button which works in playback mode.
Firmware version 1.1 for Panasonic G9. Main changes and improvements:
1. AF tracking during video recording has been improved
2. Stabilization system function was improved: there were some cases of peripheral distortion during video shooting with Panasonic wide angle lenses H-F007014, H-E08018 . This bug has been fixed.
3. High Resolution Mode has been improved: Motion correction performance improved. It is possible to use the minimum aperture of F11. There have been cases where high resolution mode is disabled when switching to playback mode. This bug has been fixed.
4. Improved sound quality: the sound quality has been improved by optimizing the noise cancellation of the internal microphone
5. Effects L.Monochrome D and Grain Effect have been added to Photo Style mode.
6. Added Live View Boost mode, which makes it easier to check the composition on the monitor in low light conditions.
7. A maximum magnification of 20x is now available in MF Assist mode
8. [Focus Lock Button], [E-Stabilization Video ], [Mic Rec Level Disp.], [Live View Boost], [Night Mode] and [L.Monochrome D] can be assigned to the Fn button, which operates in record mode
9. Restart time from sleep mode was shortened when using the Picture app and Bluetooh connection
10. There were cases where the folder name was distorted when wirelessly connecting to a Windows10 PC. This bug was fixed.

1. The autofocus tracking during video recording has been improved
2. Recording sound quality has been improved: The sound quality has been improved by optimizing the noise reduction of the internal microphone
3. Effects L.Monochrome D and Grain Effect were added to Photo Style mode
4. [Focus Lock Button], [E-Stabilization Video ], [Mic Rec Level Disp.], [Live View Boost], [Night Mode] and [L.Monochrome D] can be assigned to the Fn button which works in recording mode
5. Vector area can be displayed on screen when adjusting white balance.
6. There have been cases where the image stabilizer icon was not displayed when switching the Image Stabilizer settings with the Fn button on the H-ES200 interchangeable lens. This bug was fixed.
7. There have been cases where a folder name was distorted when wirelessly connected to a Windows10 PC. This bug was fixed.
