Panasonic products have won two prestigious 2014 TIPA awards, some of the most honorable awards in the world of photography and video. LUMIX DMC-GH4 wins Best Hybrid Still/Video Camera, and LUMIX DMC-TZ60 wins Best Superzoom.

A Jury member commented on the win: “The Panasonic GH4 is a mirrorless magnesium alloy camera with a 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor and 4K resolution video recording. The new Venus Engine quad-core processor handles large data streams efficiently.
Although the GH4, especially when combined with the LUMIX DMW-YAGH standalone module, gives the impression of a professional camcorder, it also offers photo capabilities at 12fps and 40fps RAW or 100fps JPEG in burst mode. The Live View viewfinder, made with OLED technology, offers an impressive 2,359,000 dots, while the LCD monitor offers 1,035,000 dots for high definition and saturated images.”.

LUMIX DMC-TZ60 digital compact camera – the perfect travel companion. It features a 30× optical zoom to document unique moments, for which it won the award for Best Super Zoom.
A representative of the TIPA jury commented on the win: “The Panasonic TZ60 camera is very light, weighing about 240g, and despite being equipped with a Leica lens with 30× optical zoom 24-720mm in 35mm equivalent it came out very compact – 111×64×34mm. This camera is equipped with an 18 megapixel MOS sensor, 3′ LCD screen and EVF with 100% field of view.
It supports RAW format, video shooting and focus picking, and the HYBRID O Optical Image Stabilization System.I.S.+, which effectively suppresses hand shake when taking photos and videos, which is especially important for a compact camera with such a zoom range. The DMC-TZ60 is also equipped with a built-in flash and supports Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC.
