This is a single matrix DLP projector with XPR technology that displays 4K resolution images on the screen. The laser light source delivers 3000 ANSI lumens and has a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, allowing the Optoma UHZ50 to run for a long time without compromising image quality. The combination of an advanced DLP-chip and an innovative light source capable of changing brightness in dynamic mode has helped to achieve a record contrast of 2500000:1.

The Optoma UHZ50 is fully ready for modern content with support for 3D formats and full compatibility with HDR, HLG, Rec.709 and DCI-P3. Combined with a set of ISF-compliant settings and the CMS color management system – this ensures the richest and most accurate color reproduction with deep and detailed shades. In addition, the projector is perfect for games where response time is crucial – in game mode the delay is only 4 ms in 1080p 240 Hz format and 16 ms in 4K 60 Hz format. When watching movies or sports, the high refresh rate keeps the picture sharp when displaying fast-moving objects. And to make motion smoother without blurring the picture special processing algorithm – PureMotion. For movies recorded in 24p mode there is also a special mode with the appropriate frame rate.

The projector is 100% self-sufficient, thanks to two built-in 10W speakers and a media player running on an Android OS. It can play files from USB-drives or home server over network. The pre-installed app store helps you install Netflix, Spotify, Youtube and more, while the proprietary Creative Cast and Optoma Connect apps let you stream your screen from your mobile device and control the projector wirelessly, among other things.

Three HDMI inputs are available for connecting external sources one of which supports eArc , and there are digital optical and analog audio outputs for outputting sound to an AV receiver or an external audio system.

Optoma UHZ50 has advanced installation possibilities. Besides 1.3x zoom, the optical system can shift the image by 10% vertically, which compensates for insufficient installation height. Besides the standard correction of trapezoidal distortions in two directions, the digital settings also allow to correct geometric distortions locally by 32 points. In addition to the special screen, you can use a conventional painted wall for projection. The built-in color correction algorithm is capable of compensating for six typical color tones.

Optoma UHZ50 is a multifunctional “smart” projector for home, which is the basis of modern entertainment system. High-end DLP chip and flexible picture settings allow for flawless picture quality up to 300 inches! And the extended light source life allows the projector to be used as often as a conventional LCD television.
