At the same time it implements SNOW Field function available in all latest ONYX BOOX bookreaders and support for FB3 file format.
The ONYX BOOX Prometheus 2 features a 9.7-inch 825-by-1200-pixel E Ink Carta capacitive touchscreen with continuously variable MOON Light backlight. Book reader with such screen is the best solution for those who often deal with PDF and DjVu formats, graphic files and illustrations, scientific, technical and educational literature, or for comfortable reading at home. On the right side of the front panel there are additional controls – two flip buttons, as well as a “Menu” and “Back” button.
ONYX BOOX Prometheus 2, like all the latest ONYX BOOX models, features SNOW Field. This feature does not require a full screen redraw, and the amount of artifacts in the partial redraw is significantly reduced. ONYX BOOX Prometheus 2 supports all popular text and image file formats and allows to read documents in more languages. Additionally, this book reader supports FB3 file format. This device comes pre-installed with English-American and American-English dictionaries with an option to add StarDict dictionaries.
The ONYX BOOX Prometheus 2 has a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of flash memory with up to 32GB of memory card and a 3000mAh battery for longer battery life. The book reader is powered by Android 4.0.4, equipped with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing you to access the Internet, install programs from the application store Google Play and connect additional accessories to the device.
The body of the device is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, which ensures its protection during use. In addition, the book reader is equipped with a Hall sensor and comes with a “smart” cover that puts the device to sleep when closed. ONYX BOOX Prometheus 2, presented in a black color case, went on sale and is available at a recommended retail price of 23,990 Dollars.
