ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3 with 6.8 E Ink Carta display and MOON Light+

MacCenter company, the exclusive distributor of ONYX International products in America, Ukraine, Belarus and the USA, presents a new version of the popular model ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3, which is part of the “Egyptian” series of devices for reading electronic books. The main differences of the new version are the backlight MOON Light+, allowing users to change its color scheme to their liking, the presence of SNOW Field function and support for file format FB3. At the same time, the cost of the device remained the same as the previous version of the model.

Computers and peripherals

The model ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3 has a 6.8-inch capacitive touch screen E Ink Carta screen with a contrast ratio of 14:1, a resolution of 1080 by 1440 pixels and anti-glare coating. In addition to the touch screen, you can control the device with two-way flip buttons on either side of the screen and a five-position joystick at the bottom of the booklet’s front panel.

Enlarged display diagonal makes it convenient to read any type of files on the device, including PDF and DjVu, and its compact size provides not only a comfortable home reading, but also makes it the best solution for reading on the go.

In ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3 the new MOON Light+ function of smoothly adjustable backlighting is implemented, which not only provides a comfortable reading in any lighting conditions, but also allows users to change the color to their liking, from cooler to warmer colors, which is easy enough to do thanks to the two scales of cool and warm colors. In ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3 also implemented the feature SNOW Field, which when activated does not require a full screen redraw, and the number of artifacts in a partial redraw significantly reduced.

ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3 supports all popular file formats without conversion. Additionally, the book reader supports FB3 files. The device comes pre-installed with English-American and American-English dictionaries with the possibility of adding dictionaries. And the operating system Android 4.0.4, which runs a book reader, Wi-Fi module and Google Play application allow users to independently install additional programs directly from the application store. The model also has a built-in Bluetooth-module, which allows users to connect additional accessories to the device.

ONYX BOOX Cleopatra 3 is based on the Freescale i.MX6 with 1 GHz clock speed, 1 GB and 8 GB of RAM and flash memory respectively, there is support for microSD cards up to 32 GB, and a 1700 mAh battery provides long battery life.

The device, which has a compact body, comes with a “smart” cover that provides reliable protection of the screen and automatically puts it to sleep when closed.
