To expand the capabilities of the E-M1X, Olympus announces the development of a super telephoto lens with a built-in M teleconverter.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO. Also in development is a digital teleconverter M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20. The combination of these products will enable handheld photography at a focal length of 2000mm 35mm equivalent .
Super telephoto lens M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO delivers the ultimate in performance in a compact, lightweight, dust, splash and low temperature -10°C body. The lens will have a built-in 1.25x teleconverter, which will instantly increase the focal length to 1000mm4 35mm equivalent . The lens will also have built-in stabilization and will support 5-axis Sync IS, working in conjunction with 5-axis camera stabilization. Built-in teleconverter makes the lens perfect for capturing wildlife and sporting events. New super-telephoto lens to be launched in 2020.
M.The Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20 is a digital teleconverter that doubles the focal length of the prime lens and offers superior operability, as well as robust protection against dust, splashes and low temperatures -10°C . The teleconverter will be compatible with the M lens.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO, as well as with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm F4.0 IS PRO and M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO. Product will be available in summer 2019.
