Nikon has won four TIPA World Awards for its lineup of DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and Nikkor lenses

Nikon is pleased to announce that it has won four TIPA World Awards 2020 in four categories. The editors of TIPA judged the products on three criteria – quality, functionality and price – and gave awards in their respective categories to the Nikon D780 and Nikon Z 50 and the AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR and NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct.

TIPA representative’s comment about the Nikon D780 camera:

“The D780 is something amazing. It’s based on the D750’s legendary camera concept, complemented by the latest technology that makes it akin to Nikon’s Z series of mirrorless cameras. In terms of speed, image processing, video shooting and focusing capabilities, this camera fulfills every photographer’s need. It has two slots for UHS-II memory cards and supports two readout modes: one for extended dynamic range and the other for enhanced image quality in low light conditions.”.

TIPA commentary on the Nikon Z 50:

“The Nikon Z 50 mirrorless camera with the Z mount is great for family photo shoots, travel, and creative photography and video. It combines compactness and ease of use with a wide range of creative features: quick switching between still and movie modes, easy connection to other devices and plenty of Creative Picture Control effects. “The camera has a large, tiltable LCD monitor that’s easy to operate even in bright light, handy controls and menus, and the 11fps shooting speed continuous AF and wide ISO sensitivity range are nothing short of impressive.”.

TIPA representative’s comments about the AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2 lens.8E FL ED SR VR:

“AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR – a great all-rounder for sports, wildlife and even portraits. It’s designed with the outdoors in mind, whether it’s a stadium or nature, and it’s weatherproof and its VR system lets you shoot at shutter speeds up to four stops slower than normal. In addition, a separate Sports VR mode is available for capturing fast-moving subjects. Also impressive is that the minimum focus distance is only two meters and the customizable controls are very useful for fast-moving shots.

TIPA comment about the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0 lens.95 S Noct:

“Superior low-light performance is one of the hallmarks of the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct. Its design eliminates glare from point light sources even at maximum aperture and delivers incredible results at night, when shooting landscapes and nature at sunrise or sunset, starry skies and even portraits with backlight and bright backgrounds. Remarkably, this manual focus lens does a great job of shooting with the aperture open as much as possible, providing clarity and accurate detail throughout the frame.”.
