The optical design consists of 11 elements in 8 groups and includes one aspherical lens and one low-dispersion ED glass lens to reduce chromatic aberration and produce sharp contrast images. Thanks to Nikon’s silent ultrasonic SWM motor, autofocus is smooth, quiet and fast. The minimum focus distance is 0.25 m.
