GRUNDFOS, the world’s leading manufacturer of pumping equipment1, will present the SCALA2 surface automatic pump system for water supply to private homes. The new unit differs from its predecessors in that it has a built-in frequency converter that allows you to maintain a constant pressure at all extraction points, regardless of the number of consumers.
SCALA2 is a complete installation for water supply of a private house, which includes a self-priming pump, electric motor with integrated frequency converter, pressure sensor, control panel with error display, 0,65 l membrane pressure tank and check valves. All assembled into a ready to start and ready to use unit. The equipment can work directly from the water supply or supply water to the cottage from wells and wells up to 8 m deep, ponds and storage tanks.
The power of the device is from 300 to 550 W, the head – from 15 to 46 m, the flow rate – up to 3.9 m3 h. The SCALA2 features compact dimensions and low noise levels: its working sound of 47 dB A is comparable with the rustling of leaves in the still wind. These features make it possible to install the system even in the house.

The new line has a number of contingency protections. For example, the auto-stop function after a certain amount of time up to 30 min will automatically switch off the pump. protects against pipeline accidents. In the event of a breakdown, the pump will not run continuously, it will simply switch off after half an hour. It comes in handy when children are in the house: if a child forgets to turn off the tap, the unit will do it for him by stopping the water supply.
There is also the “cyclic protection” feature, i.e.e. The new Z270 chipset has been designed to allow for continuous on/off switching in case of a small leak in the mains power supply. There is “dry run” protection with autostart: if there is no water, the equipment will shut down and periodically try to resume operation. The GRUNDFOS Eye pump operating display and lighted error indicators on the control panel of the equipment will help to understand if a problem appears in the system. There are also pressure adjustment buttons, pressure level indicator, as well as on/off and reset keys.
