The new model combines a waterproof sealed body, shock resistance, reliability and superior photo quality. High image quality

The WG-60 features a backlit CMOS sensor that produces high-quality images with low noise and high readout speed. Sensor combination with approx. 16 million pixels. efficient pixels and the latest processor guarantee excellent, high-quality images when shooting at sensitivities up to ISO 6,400. What’s more, the camera boasts innovative features such as Snap mode, which stitches four frames taken at night into one image, minimizing blur and digital noise.

With a 5x optical zoom lens and a focal range of 5mm to 25mm 28mm to 140mm in 35mm format equivalent , the Ricoh WG-60 is perfect for a wide range of subjects from macro at a minimum shooting distance of 1cm and subjects to landscape. Intelligent Zoom function to increase the zoom magnification to 36 35 mm format equivalent – 1008 mm without significant loss of image quality.

The camera features triple protection against image blur caused by camera shake:

• Pixel Track Shake Reduction – The augmented Shake Reduction mechanism tracks image shifts relative to sensor pixels. Effectively compensates for camera shake when taking photos by digitally processing affected images.

• Digital Shake Reduction. A mode that automatically increases ISO sensitivity when shooting in low-light conditions, allowing faster shutter speeds and better image quality. Thereby minimizing the effects of both camera shake and subject shake in low light conditions.

• Movie Shake Reduction. Shake Reduction function during video recording compensates for shake induced image shake for beautiful, blur-free images.

Rugged, durable camera body construction for outdoor activities in all weather conditions

The WG-60’s tough sealed casing enables 2-hour underwater shooting at depths up to 14 meters JIS Class 8 , withstands drops up to 1.6 meters, is dustproof JIS Class 6 , frostproof to -10°C and able to withstand static loads up to 100kg**. The WG-60 will be a reliable companion in demanding shooting conditions, as well as in harsh weather conditions.

Six LEDs located around the lens for macro photography provide bright uniform light when the “Digital Microscope” mode is turned on. LED backlighting lets the naked eye see a clear image of the subject on the camera’s LCD monitor and makes it easy to find the right angle.

The Instant Illumination Enhancement function allows you to increase the illumination of the subject at the same time as you release the shutter to minimize blur caused by camera shake or subject shake at the time of shooting. In addition, the LED backlight helps take selfies in Auto Portrait mode by confirming the focus on the face, and it also allows the camera to be used as a flashlight.

Special modes for underwater photography

Underwater Photo” and “Underwater Movie” modes optimize the reproduction of red tones that are often lost in underwater scenes and provide realistic color reproduction. It also compensates for the drop in contrast that occurs underwater. Aperture and shutter speed control in these modes is optimized to prevent blur when shooting underwater.

In addition, the original flash mode allows you to combine two consecutive shots in one photograph taken with and without the flash , thus minimizing the negative effect of light scattering on bubbles and suspended water.

Large LCD monitor and Full HD video recording

The Rcioh WG-60 has a large 2.7 inch 16:9 aspect ratio LCD monitor with a resolution of approximately 230,000 dots. Anti-reflective coating minimizes screen reflection to give photographers a clear, sharp image in any weather.

The Ricoh WG-60 captures high-quality video in Full HD resolution H-compression format .264 , which allows the user to obtain, long movies at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 fps 16:9 aspect ratio . Also features a high-speed recording mode for slow motion playback, and an interval timer function. The camera has an HDMI output Type D for viewing footage on external devices.
