New Latitude mobile PCs from Dell Technologies – speed, security and thoughtful design

The 10th generation of Dell Technologies Latitude Series commercial notebooks, slimmer, more compact and easier to carry, have been completely reinvented to meet the changing needs of today’s users. Dell’s new portfolio of mobile business PCs is designed with IT departments in mind and is designed to increase business users’ productivity and efficiency, no matter when, where or how they work.

Enhanced performance portfolio offers powerful security features

New Latitudes PCs with powerful integrated software and hardware transform the way IT departments deploy, manage, protect and support enterprise devices and offer a variety of technology express options. For example, ExpressCharge™ charges the battery to 80% in just one hour1, and ExpressCharge Boost™ charges it to 35% in just 20 minutes2. Some systems also feature Dell’s innovative ExpressConnect technology, which detects and connects PCs to the strongest Wi-Fi network and delivers up to 40 percent higher throughput than standard antennas3. This results in fewer dropped connections, more reliable file transfers and faster email synchronization.

A recent Ispos survey commissioned by Dell found that full-time employees ranked built-in security features as one of the three most important factors when choosing a work PC. Nearly 80 percent of respondents believe the security features built into their work PCs keep their company’s data safe.

That’s why Dell Technologies added new levels of enterprise-class security to its laptops, eliminating the need for users to remember passwords and providing a fast, secure login experience. Many of the new Latitude PCs can now feature fingerprint scanners built into the power button and IR cameras with Windows Hello support for more secure biometric authentication. Many systems can also be equipped with the new Dell SafeScreen camera curtains and smart card reader, FIPS 201c SafeID contact smart card reader to protect user credentials. Laptops also support the recently announced Dell SafeBIOS, which gives customers additional information about BIOS changes by verifying the integrity of the firmware in the cloud.

Latitude 10th-generation PC optimized for new Dell Technologies Unified Workspace software, giving employees a user-friendly, out-of-the-box interface.

“The needs of today’s users at work have changed dramatically. Employees today don’t sit at their desks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They’re constantly on the go, whether they’re meeting, working remotely or traveling, one size does not fit all,” said Rahul Tikoo, vice president and general manager of Dell’s Commercial Mobile Business Unit. – With the new Latitude PCs, work, collaboration and innovation become easier and more enjoyable – anytime, anywhere. As security issues affect both employees and IT departments, we offer Latitude’s capabilities combined with Dell Technologies Unified Workspace. This combination will make it easier for IT to meet the challenge of providing employees with devices to work faster, more efficiently and more securely anywhere.”.
