New KPL submersible axial flow pumps.E from GRUNDFOS for ultra-low head

March 2016. The KPL range of axial propeller pumps with high water flow was updated. KPL models are now available.E, designed for extra-low head from 2 m.

GRUNDFOS KPL pumps.E pumps are designed for pumping water with solids and are highly wear-resistant, even at high flow rates up to 33,000 m3/h . Hardware designed for flood control and flood recovery. The KPL.E are also used in drainage and irrigation systems with high water flow, in water intakes and waste water treatment plants. The pumps are suitable for industrial applications as well as for circulating large volumes of water in water parks, etc.

Just like the entire KPL range, the new KPL models.E models have a compact design, are easy to install and service. Pumps are equipped with the Turbulence Optimiser system, which reduces turbulence in the casing in which the equipment is installed. The solution controls fluid turbulence and the result is less sludge accumulation in the casing pipe and no effect on equipment performance1.

Another advantage of KPL equipment.E – self-cleaning hydraulic system. Impeller is cast without rough edges and “corners” which could trap pollutants from the pumped liquid. Additionally, relays and sensors to monitor operation protect the equipment against abnormal situations.
