The sound of MyST Nail 2×2 I would describe as rather smooth, a little bit light, light and refined. The musical material is presented easily, broadly, very detailed, without harsh notes. But the bass was not enough for me. Didn’t deliver. If in terms of quality it has good speed characteristics, excellent elaboration, the amount of bass even I, a fan of Etymotic ER4S, will not be enough.

For the full buzz I needed some underpinning in the low register. Here the background is sort of on the verge of extinction. Or to be more precise: it’s not that there’s no background at all, it’s more like fog, flowing down and creeping under your feet. But its airiness “cross-country vehicles” 2×2 reminded me something of Japanese oBravo EAMT-4a. No, you can’t call them twins, but they share the subtle “lightness of being”, detail and tendency to be charmed by the first snow.

The ears perfectly convey the emotional intensity of the song, the vocals sound fascinating and the strings are finely played. The information field is designed in every detail, every pinch, every sigh can be clearly heard. At the same time the headphones have no tendency to sibilance and brightness. Despite “their lightness”, I wouldn’t call them bright. Everything here is as pleasant and airy as possible.

In general, I would like to add to the good attack underneath, to the good speed and elaboration in the sound of Nail 2×2 the density, mass and pressure across the canvas.
